Exactly. A 3-run lead instead of a 2-run lead would be huge right now in these conditions with Cowen on the mound only needing 9 more outs. It was a good gamble. Didn’t pay off, but oh well. Dickinson will just lead off the 8th. Maybe he doubles, Pearson moves him over with a ground ball to the right side, and a sac fly brings him in.
But having Cowen is such a damn luxury. Allows you to take gambles like that. fricking stud.
