I am glad I retired from refereeing. We were told not to make ourself part of the game. I guess that has changed. This guy looked for something. No interference. SS was not taken out, he did not try to get in the way of the throw. Umps should have just called the out and second and walked away. He was down in the right position and no contact. He made himself controversial
