We do have things to be concerned about and maybe this team is not a shoo-in for Omaha. But you don’t punt the season over losing two of three at Vandy.
And yeah, what-ifs are stupid but if Guidry is steadier and we hold on Friday, we’d be leaving Nashville with two out of three and the doomsayers would be singing a different tune.
And obviously our prolonged offensive slump doesn’t mean we can’t hit well against SEC pitching.

Sucks they were one out from taking this series.
Yep. Very close. A ball hits our catcher’s glove bounces off and an incorrectly ruled hit by pitch.
A HR that looks like a HR ruled a big no joy.
What could have been.

Milan was still playing short. Pearson went all the way to the 2nd base side

Yea it's still way too early to panic. Obviously our play hasn't been very inspiring but I want to see how we bounce back the next 2 weekends at home against teams we should be able to beat

Was it the preemptive Magarita Levieva gif that did the trick today?

yup
Winning on the road ain’t wasy and we should have taken 2/3’
The good: offense scored 12 and 16 runs
Schmidt looked good again
Cowan looked good
The bad: The rest of our pitching staff looked like shite
The Ugly: I hope the umps get shingles. The only job I actively pray gets taken over by machines.

LSU looked like the best team in the country today. Vanderbilt had zero shot.

I remember the melt after the Auburn series last year

Looked like an adult men’s league softball game

I think the bats will work themselves out. Pearson needs to be at third base as his AB's are way better than our other third base options. Could Harden be an option at 2nd base? Not seeing what Dardar brings to the table. Feels like the make or break though will be getting at least 6 of our pitchers to start performing much better than they are currently.

Sheerin looked very good. William got some redemption in the 9th. Paz looked good late in the game last night.

No one is a shoo-in for Omaha. Ever

Didn't get to watch the game but saw Wheel's highlights.
What was the deal with the beef with Rizy and the Vandy batter?

quote:Pussy kept complaining that Rizy wasn't waiting until he was ready... There's an eye contact rule in place for this and imo, when the ump warned Rizy he did make eye contact before the previous pitch. Regardless, the batter kept whining and then Rizy struck him out and told him to GTFO.
