BYU beat TCU 17-10 with 200 total yards and is #8. What a joke.

Texas Tech as well

I mean, we're ranked one spot higher than Ole Miss, so that's not really right either.

We had a close loss. FL got destroyed by 4 TD’s.

We still lost. Any objective voter should have Ole Miss ahead of LSU.

I'm not arguing the validity of each loss, I'm arguing that if two teams have identical records and are next to each other in the polls, then the team that won the H2H should be the higher ranked team.

If the shoe was on the other foot where LSU beat Ole Miss but was ranked a spot behind Ole Miss, you'd be raising hell that the polls are biased against LSU.

Bye that analogy Florida should have been the #1 team and national champion in 2003 and Arkansas and Kentucky should be 1A and 1B national champs in 2007! The point is teams evolve through out the season and the polls should not be heavily influence by games that happened three weeks ago!

Head to head matters. I’m not saying it doesn’t but you have to take some level of context into the equation. The last time we saw OM they got embarrassed by a team who followed up that performance with an embarrassment of their own. That combined with the context of the LSU OM game (road game crazy environment lsu tying the game late in second half) has to be taken into account.

Simple question: on a neutral field who would you pick to win the game tomorrow?

TCU looked completely awful and still was in the game until the end.

The BYU glazing is entirely to benefit notre dame. If they win they’ll have a top ten win, if they lose they’ll have 1 loss to a top ten team.
