I can't get over some of the decisions this game, not to mention performances...season on the line today:
-Dutton gets the start for 2nd time all season
-Travinski out of lineup for 1st time all season
-Neal catching in place of Milazzo
-Move Pearson to leadoff all of a sudden
-Don't bunt Kling with a runner on, no outs
-4 Ks looking, 5 overall
-3rd pitcher in 3 innings
-2 BBs from pitchers
-Pretty routine looking fly ball not caught
All of this within just 3 innings of play. You could convince me that we were throwing this game to avoid postseason play had we not looked like this for over half the year.

The pitching today isn’t a surprise and stems back to Little being unable to bridge the Friday night game. Furthermore, the unfathomable concept of our offense being completely inept against Sunday pitching all season long. It’s truly baffling.

Getting out of that just giving up 1 seems like a huge victory. Hopefully that long inning throws this gump off his game
