I know for a fact it's a rule NOT to show replays of plays being reviewed. We NEVER do it at Alex Box as it's a rule.

That's some bullshite they are continuing to show the replay at Auburn.

Well I was referring to hearing them on the mic and one yelled, "if you don't throw him out we are throwing you out"

How could you review it and rule him safe? Its shitty for auburn, but he is out by rule most likely. Only way he would be safe is if its deemed thompson pulled his leg up intentionally.....and it wasnt intentional

What the hell happenned?

Guy on first broke to steal. Milazzo makes a throw on point. Thompson dropped the ball. Baserunner steps on Thompson's glove while making it safely to the bag. Thompson picks the ball up with his throwing hand and starts to stand up. Runner's cleat is snagged on Thompson's glove and his foot comes off the bag attached to the glove as Thompson stands up. Thompson applies the tag. Ump rings the baserunner up for coming off the bag and getting tagged. Review goes to Birmingham. Call upheld. Runner out. Auburn fans incensed. Good. frick 'em.

That's about it.

Todd Walker has Booger McFarland disease. Tries so hard to NOT be labeled as an LSU homer that he argues against anything pro LSU.

One of the strangest things ever just happened. Jordan Thompson dropped a throw from Alex Milazzo, but the runner's foot came off the bag because it got caught in Thompson's glove. Thompson tagged the runner. He was out after review.

I will say this, Thompson showed some pretty great restraint compared to how I would have reacted.

ETA: butch, to clarify

Base runner should have kept his foot on the bag and called time to deal with the tangled shoe/glove. He didn’t call time so he’s out.

never seen a players spike get hung in a glove and their foot pulled off the bag

too bad this play wasn't against Florida, their fans would lose it over a second shoe controversy
