The low expectations are because of the offense. and let's face it - no one expects lsu's offense to be good because Les Miles had lost his mojo with the offense a long time ago. besides that, we haven't developed a qb in a long time. Mett was the last decent qb we had, and if he hadn't been a statue back there, if he could've moved as well as brennan, he would've been a great qb. but, he wasn't great, he was just really good. not knocking miles, just saying you add his last 7 years of coaching with O's performance here, and who has confidence in the Offense?

if jimbo was head coach, I don't know if anyone would be predicting that lsu would have a good offense. most posters and this board won't believe it till they see it.

and who's to blame them?

But I still have hope.

Expectations are the lowest they've been in recent memory.

They also wouldn't be as low if Orgeron had gone out and actually hired a competent offensive coordinator.

so we fired miles to CHANGE the expectations, not to continue them. Thats kinda the point everyone is pissed about.

And are you telling me a guy like Herman or Jimbo wouldnt make a big difference in expectations for the Offense?

1. Mett wasn’t as good as Jarvis and OBJ made him look. They bailed him out on a lot of bad throws. There’s a reason he flamed out in the NFL.

2. Miles has nothing to do with this years offense. Whatever the results are it is O and Ensminger’s offense.

No need to shite on Mett he was a very Good QB, and threw for 3K in essentially 11 games (got hurt early vs Arkansas)

I’m not shitting on anyone. He had the tools but he forced a lot of throws that he shouldn’t have. He was a good QB not a great QB.

If we are going to move the goalposts this far, frick it, let's go all the way: this year's offense is going to be bad because of Curley Hallman and George Haffner.

Miles is long gone.

O is sinking or swimming with these hires.

We can start judging Coach O in 2021. It will then be his program. Everything that happens till then is all on Miles. That's how it works in the real world people.

Miles didn't have anything to do with last years offense either. Nothing has improved since Miles was fired, not one damn thing.

Had Orgeron done what he promised the LSU fanbase, LSU would have a very good, proven OC going into year 2 of implementing his system. Brennan would have been brought along last year, instead of barely playing in the back half of the season.

Who knows, maybe if he’d have kept that promise he’d have signed an elite RB last feb.

Expctations would be much higher if he hadn’t wasted a year on Canada and then promoted the TE coach who hadn’t been a full-time coordinator in 20 years and who has to develop a system on the fly.

If I remember correctly, he got hit and went down earlier in the game but came back in before going out for good in the 4th.

The offensive line when healthy and complete with all recruits will be the best offensive line since 2011. Quarter Back will good certainly upgrade from last few years for sure, only inexperienced to start, receivers as good as we have ever had, running backs average. Defensive front could be better than ever, Alexander, Fehoko, Lawrence, Shelvin all studs with experience, line backers all 5-4 stars 6-1 to 6-3 230 - 235 with wheels, corners very good but thin, safeties very good and loaded. We’ll see

I believe this team is going to surprise some of you negative don’t know shite dicks, and stomp the wheels off Miami right off the bat. I’ll say 10-2 and that will be close game losses with Alabama and Auburn. We beat Georgia whom has to replace 13 starters and remainder of field
