Anyone who was there knows.. LSU-USC 1979. Probably the most talented visiting team to ever play in Tiger Stadium. Charles White, Marcus Allen, Ronnie Lott, etc. Current TN Titan head coach Jeff Fischer played for 'SC as a defensive back and had a pick in that game. My Dad saw Fischer and asked him if he remembered the '79 LSU game. His response..." I sure do, I'll never forget it ". Loudest sustained crowd noise and greatest sporting event I've ever attended..and I've been to a few. Geaux Tigahs !

There have definitely been a handful of intense games. But 2007 Florida tops them all. Wow. Amazing.

But the new loudest? 2009 against Florida. Jefferson to Randle in final minute sets tiger stadium on fire

No. McCray was beaten. Even on a bad throw McCray still managed to screw it up. Lets think about it, McCray starts off at least 7 yards deeper than Harvin(couldn't see his depth at the beginning of the play) and Harvin still gets behind him on a crossing post route. A DB should ALWAYS be deeper than the reciever on a vertical route. McCray wasn't only beaten in depth, but he was trailing Harvin by at least 2-3 yards.

McCray was where he was supposed to be. Taylor was playing the deep safety position and was out of position on the play. McCray gets to play the ball because he thinks he has help over the top. If Taylor was in position instead of blowing his assignment (which even miles pointed out after the game) that would have been a pick or Taylor would have lit up Harvin.

LSU - UF 2007
LSU - UGA 2003
these were extremely loud games.

No one in this thread has mentioned the 4th down play in OT vs. Arky in 2007 when Dick hit Hillis. That play followed a time out and when the players took the field leading up to that play, I thought to myself "This is the loudest I've ever heard it". We all thought the NC was on the line there and it was loud.

2) '97 Florida, last INT of Johnson

That was awesome.

But, I always thought the loudest point of that game, I think it was the 3rd quarter, though not sure since it was so long ago.

I was in the student section, and UF had 1st and 10 from about there own 2. They ran all 3 plays of the series inside the 5, and that was the absolute single loudest moments I've EVER been in TS.

But I thought the loudest game as a whole was the Auburn game of '97, which was after the UF game. Though, I think i'm the only one that thinks the Auburn game was louder than the UF game, so maybe I was really drunk or something.

Washington game in 83 was the loudest for me. The stadium was 4000 over its limits. It was loud from kickoff till the end of the game.

Your not serious right? LSU didn't even bring the entire band and they were louder than the razorback band and fans put together...the video doesn't help either

not where I was sitting, we were in the endzone and you could see the hole open before TH made it to the 10 yard line. Everyone threw their arms up and started celebrating. No way in hell they were going to catch him....and they didn't

He didn't mistime his jump, he got to the ball. He just tipped it up instead of batting it down, and Florida got the lucky arse bounce and the tip went right into Harvin's hands. Probabaly the best defensive play McCray made all season, right up until the last millisecond.

Harvin pushed off and got away with it...game changer.

Obviously...
88 vs. Auburn
07 vs. Florida
00 vs. Tennessee
97 vs. Florida
08 vs. Bama
07 vs. Auburn

Here's some I don't think have been mentioned too much...

2006 vs. Ole Miss - Bowe's catch in traffic on 4th down to tie...PAT was blocked and we win in OT

2007 vs. Arkansas - right before the 4th down in OT that McCray blew coverage on...it may have been the 3rd OT, not sure. But right before that play, the stadium was rocking

2005 vs. Auburn - TS got pretty loud after Vaughn's field goal hit post

2006 @ Auburn - When Craig Davis was knocked down on about the 2 yard line as time expired...

i haven't experienced many games since i live out of state, but one that comes to mind has to be vs Ole Miss in 06', with Dwayne bowe's catch late in the 4th.
Another one that hasn't been mentioned that seemed loud on t.v was LSU vs Tennessee in 2005 even though we lost, the beginning seemed like it was rockin
