For me it was the 05 auburn game after skyler green returned the punt for a touchdown. I was sitting in the auburn section and as soon as that guy punted the ball the guy behind me said, oh crap. I couldn't hear myself scream it was so loud!

2. LSU v Tenn- 2000: Saban's first "Big" game in Tiger Stadium. Electric atmosphere the whole evening. I was in the student section, so I'm sure the noise was even more amplified

you tube this game and watch when toe went for about 75 yards @ the 2 min mark LINK. the crowd was so loud that they drowned out the announcers on tv at the 50 yard line

1. 1979 USC game. Very loud for 4 quarters.

2. 1972, LSU v. Ole Miss. Jones to Davis, no time on the clock, touchdown, crowd, standing and eerily quiet as the play started, erupts to ear splitting, deafening level as referee's hands go up to signal touchdown. Lackluster game by LSU until the 4th quarter comeback. But that last play- classic.

LSU v Tenn- 2000

We had friends from Tennessee come in for this game, and all they kept saying was that there was no way Tiger Stadium could be as loud as Neyland. I could tell during the game they were shocked. All they would say afterward, is that they were impressed and that Tiger Stadium was "comparable."

I know the quietest moment...

Arkansas beats LSU in BR and at the time, believed they had just lost a chance at the NC. With that said, I'm glad you won that game and beat OSU.

And here is the perfect example of a typical hog fan. Insecure and must try and pump themselves up. Happens all the time. They have such little to be proud of on the football field they do what they can. LSU and other elite teams beat teams and move on. We talk about games to win the division, win the SEC, and yes win national championships. Arkansas talks, and very proudly about beating a team that went 8-5 last year. Every discussion this spring about next year involves mentioning beating LSU. We are glad you hold LSU in such high company but get a freakin life.

Florida-Tennessee..1997...when the Tony George intercepted pretty-boy Peyton Manning and ran it back for a TD.

'07 LSU-UF game was loud too at the end.

been to lots of games and haven't missed a big home game in years. The 1997 Florida game, nobody sat down the whole game. It was huge at the time and atmosphere was electrc. The atmosphere of the 03 game against OU was nice, but just not the same as it was in 97 with UF. It got loud in 07 against UF but dont think as loud as when Herb Tyler kept that option and ran it in to up by 14 with minutes left

UGA 03

The Skylar TD was the culmination. The real experience was UGA's 90 yard screen pass to tie the game late in the 4th. It could have been a dagger and should have given UGA all the momentum to win the game.

Instead, 93,000+ fans start chanting "L-S-U! L-S-U! L-S-U!" as loud as can be. Tiger Stadium at its absolute best. You had to be there.

I'll go back a ways to a game I was at as an LSU student. It was in 1986 against Notre Dame. We were favored in the game but Lou Holtz's first Irish team came prepared and really was taking it to us. We were in great position to make it to the Sugar Bowl but really needed a good win over an upstart Notre Dame team that year. We were leading late in the third or early 4th qtr by just 2 points. Hodson threw an int and it was returned to just inside our 5 yard line. At Notre Dame's first play from scrimmage the crowd imediately got rowdy and loud. It was in the south endzone and those folks know how to make noise when needed. After three runs up the middle and very little gained each time and the crowd growing louder with each successive stop Holtz dialed up heisman trophy winner Tim Brown's number. The crowd was at a fever pitch. The loudest I've ever heard a stadium roaring for defense. It was a pitch out to the left and Steve Rehage hit him at the five with a great hard open field tackle only like Steve Rehage could do resulting in one of the greatest goal line stands I've witnessed in person and just when I didn't think the crowd could get louder from the defensive roar the ensuing explosion was unbelieveable! I've never heard Tiger Stadium that loud. And I was at the Earthquake game and the '97 UF game. Both of those were certainly close seconds. It was as if the crowd decided we are not letting these guys score here. Not in our house! We went on to win that game and go on to the Sugar Bowl. That game and particularly that play was a great catalyst to winning the SEC that year.

1997 Florida. Cedric Donaldson taking back the 66 yarder INT.

1998 Florida at BHG was pretty loud.

per wikipedia...the answer to the question
quote:

During a nationally televised game against Auburn in 2003, ESPN recorded a noise level of 117 decibels at certain points in the game. In 2007 when the No. 1 ranked Tigers played the No. 9 ranked Florida Gators, the noise level registered at 122 decibels when the Tigers made a come-from-behind win in the final minutes of the game.

loudest experience in a college football game
Don't forget Tenn game in 2000 I believe, when we beat them 38-31 in Tiger Stadium. That was loud also. Sideline reporter Adrian Karsten said, I think during or right after the game, "Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge is the loudest stadium I've ever been in."

no, adrian carson said it felt like the same atmosphere as the florida game in 1997. he actually said something like "remember florda in 1997." he never said it was the loudest he'd ever seen tiger stadium. i know i'm splitting hairs, but that's not what he said.

Yes, yes it is what he said. Go to wikipedia, Tiger Stadium, and look under testimonials. Exactly what I said he said is in there.
