I have never had goose bumps like that. Would have never expected the crowd to get louder. It was like the UGA TD just pissed everyone off
Absolutely. I honestly can't remember what the Earthquake play felt like (was too much in shock), but of all the goosebump-raising moments I've had in Tiger Stadium (including every single pregame I've ever seen), none ever got me so psyched and so . . . fricking . . . "frick YEAH!!!!" pumped as that moment. It was truly, truly awesome.

when Tebow threw the ball, McCray was right on Harvin, then broke to leap for the ball while Harvin broke downfield

No. McCray was beaten. Even on a bad throw McCray still managed to screw it up. Lets think about it, McCray starts off at least 7 yards deeper than Harvin(couldn't see his depth at the beginning of the play) and Harvin still gets behind him on a crossing post route. A DB should ALWAYS be deeper than the reciever on a vertical route. McCray wasn't only beaten in depth, but he was trailing Harvin by at least 2-3 yards. McCray honestly was the worst player at his position that I have ever seen start at LSU.

2004, UF v. UT in Knoxville. Vols win on a last second field goal.

2006, UF v. USC in Gainesville. The Cock Block!

He didn't mistime his jump, he got to the ball. He just tipped it up instead of batting it down, and Florida got the lucky arse bounce and the tip went right into Harvin's hands. Probabaly the best defensive play McCray made all season, right up until the last millisecond.

You are an idiot.

I know the quietest moment...

Arkansas beats LSU in BR and at the time, believed they had just lost a chance at the NC. With that said, I'm glad you won that game and beat OSU.

The blocked field goal was probably one of the craziest moments of my life in my two years here. I was near the top so I saw all the drinks flying down. I hugged an ugly chick next to me, and pretty much everybody was running down the rows attempting to slap the frick out of everyones hand but really just hacking the frick out of everyones forearm.

Don't forget Tenn game in 2000 I believe, when we beat them 38-31 in Tiger Stadium. That was loud also. Sideline reporter Adrian Karsten said, I think during or right after the game, "Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge is the loudest stadium I've ever been in."

no, adrian carson said it felt like the same atmosphere as the florida game in 1997. he actually said something like "remember florda in 1997." he never said it was the loudest he'd ever seen tiger stadium. i know i'm splitting hairs, but that's not what he said.

That is fine with me, I don't go to LSU and thus don't care about your greatest football moment...

Karsten also said Tiger Stadium was pretty damn loud during the Auburn game in 2003. He had a decibel reader that game and was raving about how loud it was.

Not a loud game by any means, but a pretty freaking loud moment was against Ole Miss in 06. Russell to Bowe on 4th down.

Then we get the extra point blocked.

No, he was clearly closer than that to Harvin until he broke off to make a move on the ball.

I don't think he was quite that bad, but that's also irrelevant. I didn't say he was good, or even that his coverage on that play was all that great. I said that it was the best coverage I remember him having all season, which (unfortunately) isn't saying a whole helluva lot.

But whatever. We obviously see it differently and it doesn't matter in the least (at least not to me). And it isn't even remotely close to the subject of the thread, so I'll just let it go.

LSU vs USC '79 - Not there, but I cut my teeth listening to John Ferguson call the games in the 70s. Tiger Stadium was rocking the whole night up until the very end.

LSU vs Auburn '88 - I was in the student section helping to create the earthquake.
