Maybe Coach Kelly had better things to do than become a pen pal with Lou Holtz.

Notre Dame and their "people" need to recognize that they just aren't as important as they think they are.

They seem way more bent out of shape about Kelly than they are excited over Freeman and the 2022 season.

Holtz coached 132 games in 11 seasons at Notre Dame and guided his teams to
an overall record of 100-32-2 as he holds the Irish record for most games
coached and is second to Knute Rockne in total victories. Holtz led Notre Dame
to the 1988 national championship and remains 11th on the NCAA all-time win
list for Division I-A coaches.

Where is Kelly's???

Because y'all want to hate on Lou does not mean Kelly needs to ignore Lou. Shows a whole lot of disrespect to be honest. Character matters.

Hopefully he doesn’t respond to any letters from O or Miles, either

You don’t know that he ignored Lou. There’s a real chance that Lou sent all those letters to some woman named Kelly Brian.

Can you imagine trying to sit there and listen to Lou Holtz as if he has anything relevant to say about running a successful program in 2022?

It would be like taking to your grandma about finding a job.

How much of an out of touch, self centered a-hole to do you have to be in the mid-2010’s to write someone a bunch of letters, then get pissed off because a guy who’s in charge of running a major college football program isn’t running to his mailbox to check for fanmail from Lou fricking Holtz then pulling out his quill to write one back?

Maybe Lou should act like a considerate adult and communicate in a way that’s been socially common within the last 40 or 50 years?

FTR, he's politically aligned with most of the posters on this board. Old dogs die hard.

A letter? The chances of BK never seeing them are probably higher than him ignoring them.

Notre Dame has stayed in the dark ages longer than Les Miles!

So what would the ND faithful rather BK focus on? Running their FB program, or entertaining the spitting elf?

Seriously, this is so stupid.

I could understand 1 or 2 but 8? Come on man, that means that Lou Holtz was selfishly up to something and CBK was avoiding a potential nightmare.

Smart man.

Just think about it. Lou just keeps writing and writing and writing and writing and writing and writing and writing and writing... That's a little insane.

Does everybody associated with Notre Dame act like a jilted lover? It's getting pathetic.

I bet BK never even saw those letters and even if he did why would he give a damn what Lou had to say.

Hey Lou, pick up the phone and call somebody if you really need to talk.
