I think the BS they claimed was Julio touched the ball which activated that BS rule that screwed us out of the fumble vs Bama this year. Doesn’t make sense though because he already secured possession. You should know by know it’s 11 vs 12 when playing the Gumps and it will only chance when we force Saban to retirement

Funny story- for a solid YEAR after that call, I sent a printed screenshot of the play via fax to the SEC office with a hand-written note asking what the frick they saw to make that call the way they did.

I never received any kind of correspondence back from those professionals on their work.

Seriously, that is the single worst call I have ever seen. To this day, no one has given ANY credible explanation on why it was called as such.

fricking losers.

Complete BS…always will be. Laughable when you go back and look at it.

That wasn’t reviewable. This was reviewed.

Exactly, these idiots had a chance to get it right, but doubled down on the corruption. I guess it is to be expected with a bunch of Bama homers running the reviews.

Not long after that call, I was in a Starbucks in Birmingham really early one morning wearing my LSU hoodie, and Slive walked in...

While he was walking out, I casually called over to him, "we all know Patrick Peterson had that interception".

It’d be funny as hell if 13 years later you resent the email asking for a response

If I recall correctly the replay was standard definition at this point and they could not clearly see the foot in bounds. By the next week all replays were in HD.

But really just the sec doing the sec thing and trying to help Bama out.

Just a follow up, after I saw Slive at that Starbucks, I printed that picture and kept it with me every morning I went back, Just in case I saw him again and swore I'd make him autograph it for me.... Dude never showed up there again for me to do it.

It’s time to track the refs down and check their financials

Uh…
Bama refs tried to give them the muffed punt in 2000 - but they couldn’t argue against the first video review

If they had given Bama the ball, a ball clearly recovered by LSU in the middle of the field in clear sight. I have no doubt the refs never would have made it out of the stadium.
