8-4 or 9-3 to eternity with Bk. You have to recruit at a high level to win big in the sec

rebuild

Every year is a rebuild. Meanwhile, Georgia and bama reload annually. LSU is still a sleeping giant with a HC with a recruiting mindset which bk is not

Next year will be a steep dropoff from this year--especially on defense

LOL. I’m not sure that’s even possible

Took Smart & UGA a while to get where they are at right now, and the program he inherited was in a lot better shape vs the one Kelly just took over.

And let’s not forget Coach O went 2-0 vs Kirby by a combined score of 73-26. That is the power of lsu

Lol Nuss is what Myles Brennan was when burrow & Daniels came in

You post a lot of stupid shite but this is one of your worst. You’re not even close on this bullshite post. Nuss is all in Brennan was maybe half in. Time will prove you wrong.

LSU will run a lot with the OL next year. Nuss will probably throw around 30 times a game, but we'll run around 40 times. We won't be anywhere near, anywhere near, I mean, anywhere near as explosive, but we should have an elite RB group running behind an elite OL that will keep us in games until Nuss and the receivers are up to snuff.

Who knows about defense. We have some work to do on the DL interior and the secondary. Penn, Weeks, and Perkins are going to be a nightmare trio in the right scheme. Aranda would live for the LB talent we currently and will possess next year.

Nuss has as much talent as Nix or Beck. He can definitely be a 3000 yard passer with 30 tds. O-line and tight ends will be one of the best in college. RBs and
WRs are talented but need to continue to develop.

The defense needs a safety and some tackles plus a new scheme.

Alabama, Ole Miss could be as good or better than this year but we get them at home. Usc will have a new qb. We also get ucla and Oklahoma at home. Who knows what will happen with Aggies and UF. Ark will struggle again. South Carolina will have a new qb and Vandy is Vanda.

10-2 is a reasonable expectation and should get LSU a home game in the 1st round of the playoffs with their schedule.

I am more concerned with the 25 and 26 seasons unless they can finish with some flip for this year's class.

USC plays defense like we did this year, UCLA isn’t very good, Bama, Ole Miss, Oklahoma at home plus Florida, Vandy and South Carolina.

Easily 8-0. Awful teams against a great lsu team.

No they are not. Roster has some big holes.

If you are projecting a rebuild with Nuss in mind, that’s even more reason to think he’s not the guy

Daniels first year as starter at LSU he had 3700 yards (pass/rush) and 28 TDs.
Burrow first year 3300 yds and 23 TDs.

Nuss would likely be in the range of those two as a first year starter. He'll be breaking in new WRs as well. If the defense makes some miraculous turn around then there is potential to make the 12 team playoff, but it's unrealistic to expect him to play like a seasoned starter his first year as the QB1.

Looking at our recruiting class I can’t see how we get close to this years offensive production next year or bring our defense to a level that is even “good”

3rd year for Kelly should be shooting for playoffs but I really don’t see it.

It really looks like he’s going to take a step back

I’ll be ok with a 3 loss season but after that I’m expecting Gold.

You can get up in your feelings all you want, but that doesn’t change the fact they are in the exact same position.

Will have the best offensive line in the country. Not worried.

The OL will be very good, but they got roughed up yesterday vs aggie's DL. There were no running lanes and they got pressure on JD. That is one of the best front sevens in CFB though.

They definitely need to bring in a portal QB for depth and competition.

It does seem the elite portal QBs are guaranteed a starting spot, and I don’t believe LSU is in that position.

Interested to see what route LSU takes and who becomes available.

The team is set to lose very little outside of the QB & two stud WRs.

Yes, the Heisman finalist, Belitnikoff finalist and CFB leader in receiving TDs.

Nabers' YAC ability and their contested catch skills on display yesterday are not easily replaced.

None of it is easily replaced, but the replacements for these guys are very likely not on the team right now.

The rest of the team will be improved though. The nfl players are in the current Fr & Soph class. Some are already team linchpins and others have gained great experience this season to build on.

There is a lot of WR talent on the team. That’s rarely an issue for LSU. I could see them getting an elite WR if one is available in the portal, but I wouldn’t expect multiple additions.

Lacy
Hilton
Anderson
Sampson
Parker
Brown
Ibieta
Prean

Lots of unproven, highly-recruited talent.

The issue is youth not talent
