They’re right in principle, but these boomers aren’t thinking about the long game in all of this.

The long game is having the reputation of a school that fights for the rights of players. This helps with recruiting. You're not seeing the full picture.

Correct. There were already a lot of chicken littles but ever since Hunt P repeatedly said to "wave the white flag" and surrender, the pussies have started crawling out of the woodwork like roaches. Support CLK & LSU no matter what!

Yes, you sound very logical....yellow bellied logical. I don't know you, so I'm not going to say anything about YOUR intelligence....but yes you are clearly a weak pussy. LSU is in the right here. Thank God we had strong, determined, tough soldiers in our history of this great country, and not people like you that roll over and take it.

I don't know if he can. If the SEC denies these kids eligibility and all the schools agree to do it, then the entire conference (and each individual school) could be looking at some sort of restraint of trade or antitrust lawsuit. Not to mention conspiracy. Can you say "treble damages"? Lane just may be saving the SEC from a HUGE lawsuit down the road.

That message won’t really help when recruits don’t want to come play for a team who can’t play in the postseason. I really hope it doesn’t get to that point, but I hope you’re not shocked when it does.

You say that, but with the way CFB is going, I’d bet money that this is how it works now.

The argument you have is that we shouldn’t back down. You’re correct in a sense, but this fight isn’t worth fighting.

This fight isnt about 2 players. The SEC just singled us out and has gone way too far. The new LSU regime isnt going to bend over and take it like the old administration used to.

Whether we actually play them or not doesnt matter. Its pretty clear LSU isnt going to just roll over anymore.

I never said it was about 2 players. It’s about the principle. I agree with the principle, but all I’m saying is that we’re risking major consequences. You and I may not agree with them, but don’t act like the NCAA and SEC won’t find a way to frick us over. That’s been my argument the whole time.

Just curious:

How is the Big10 conference getting away with it?

They passed basically the same the exact rule and allowed the same exception as the SEC, right?

They're allowing players that went through mini camp like the kid from Notre Dame but banned any that signed a contract just like the SEC.

Why aren't they getting sued?
