Sankey never says a word about it...not one time. Texas has a player on their team that went to mini camp...not a word. Missouri played a player last night, not a word.

This whole fight also serves the interests of the SEC as well even while they are losing. This entire fiasco really comes down to what “amateurism” is, how eligibility actually works and how the NCAA has categorically failed to provide a concrete definition of either for going on 100 years. It’s always been arbitrary and obtuse going back to even the earliest days of the institution. This legal battle is another nail in the NCAA’s coffin, which the SEC (and Big 10) are more than happy about. They fully want to abandon “amateurism” and go to an entirely different system. Thats why whether or not Wright and Harris play is kind of immaterial, there will be no “expulsion” or “sanctions”. Everyone’s long term interests are being served here, bar the NCAA.

You obviously have been asleep. The SEC, NCAA, and now Clemson is claiming breach of contract. I'll say it again, if LSU puts these players in the roster and plays them, in the end, regardless of the wins, LSU will be stripped down and put on probation. The risk is not worth the reward.

We have no choice now. The judge basically said if they are on the roster, we HAVE to let them play. Basically gave us the win, but at the same time, we have no discretion to hold them out until any appeals.

So now, to speak to your opinion, we are stuck with the consequences, should there be any later. Everyone thinks we "won", and while we did in a way, we also got handcuffed to the situation.
