These athletes last completed under 25/26 manual and exhausted eligiblity under that manual. New does not apply because they never completed under new rules.

New rules are prospective and not retrospective

That means Trinidad Chambliss would be ineligible if that's the case

And I think the NCAA is still saying THEY view TC as ineligible. Would be interesting to hear that brought up, specifically framing it as why/how the SEC chooses which injuctions to follow and which ones they dont. NCAA is in the room. SEC is in the room. Light the fuse!

One cannot simultaneously hold that Chambliss getting $6M to play a 6th year is “amateur” while a player going to a few NFL practices is “professional.”

Story breaking that the SEC just filed suit directly against Kiffin while this hearing was happening.

Chambliss would/should have been a 3rd 4th round pick at worst, meaning he’s way more of a professional than these guys

The SEC is claiming that Lane has violated their freedom of speech. I'm not kidding.

What if all of this is Lane playing the Long Con to have Chambliss deemed ineligible at the last minute.

It would be out of a similar playbook that he used to successfully end this 'fake-injury to slow down football games'. He complained about how it was unfair, the SEC ignored him, so he had his guys make it so freaking blatant and time consuming that they had to step in and correct it. Lane is a freak, man, and I mean that in the most positive way possible.

Someone needs to tap Tony on the shoulder and have him ask Sankey about this new suit.

SEC files lawsuit against LSU, Lane Kiffin in wake of push to bring back former NFL players

I think the injunction against the SEC will be denied and then granted against the NCAA. So we won't be able to play these athletes.

The 7-Day Practice Rule: Court details note that Wright only started practicing with LSU this week. Because of the NCAA's requirement that an athlete must practice for seven days before playing in a game, Wright will be ineligible for Saturday's home opener against Clemson regardless of how the judge rules today. However, the ruling remains critical for his and the other players' long-term status on the 105-man roster.SEC Pushes "Voluntary" Membership: The SEC’s legal team is heavily leaning into the argument that LSU is a voluntary member of their private association. They argue that even if the court protects the players, the court does not have the authority to stop a private conference from enforcing rules its own member universities collectively agreed upon
