That second sentence is just made up. Any appellate circuit could just simply vacate the order and the underlying injunction, rule that the SEC could enforce its rule retroactively, and allow the penalties.
That doesn’t make any sense. Can I watch you take a free umbrella rain bag from in front of a store today. Then get the legislature to pass a law that umbrella bags are illegal and you cannot have them tomorrow. Then arrest you next week for what u did yesterday?
No. It’s a bedrock of our legal system.

And why should we lie down while other schools are signing these players or in ole Miss' case, attempting and failing to sign these players?
But they aren’t. The distinction has been stated.
Which other school has signed a player who executed a contract with an NFL team?

Perfect example of your ignorance.
First, the SEC isn’t a public body subject to ex post facto prohibitions.
Second, the SEC’s ENTIRE argument is that the rule isn’t new, it’s existing and last weeks memo was a clarification. So if that logic wins, there’s zero argument for a rule being created to punish past behavior.

Ncaa attorney says the players received their manual when they played and under that manual they exhausted their eligibility.
The new manual says the 5 for 5 rule is prospective not retrospective. These players exhausted their eligibility before the 5 for 5 rule existed.
Brought up the basketball players mentioned one from Louisville and another one and says we can't rewrite the rules based on two players. The rules about professional players would have to be rewritten. Lists many other rules that would have to be rewritten.
Judge interrupted and says "well technically I wouldn't have to do none of that"
Attorney says well you have to use the examples they gave and those examples are not clear. You have to show how the NCAA made those decisions and they didn't do that.
A private association can set their own rules and that's what has been done. As members of the institution they have to follow those rules.
These players are better people because they have gone through this system but their eligibility is over. You can't give them someone else's spot
Judge interrupted again saying that when he was a freshman he took a seniors spot and that putting seniors on a team doesn't mean that they will automatically take someone's spot.
Ncaa says well these are all good players and they will take someone's spot.

Oh, so intangible nonsense with no practical analysis of what actual events would benefit LSU post-judgment.
Not a hateful question here:
Are you intentionally ignoring the potential of focused future attempts at institutional retribution, which have been not-so-subtly indicated as viable by this case and a new federal filing today?
It’s not a new concept that a bully will push you around until you stand up for yourself.
This is classic, albeit poorly veiled, institutional bullying.

multiple other teams will be doing this.
They’re doing it now. Which is why this is so ridiculous.
It’s okay if teams A, B and C do it but to single out this other team, for doing the same thing, yet they should be punished for doing it, is ridiculous.

You’re a fricking idiot and Sankey is a disingenuous facetious piece of shite. That fricking scumbag didn’t even stick around to hear the kids give their testimony. Greg Sankey’s head needs to roll and it needs to roll not next week, not tomorrow, but today.

But also stating: Not withdrawing your name from the NFL draft and leaving collegiate athletics also makes them ineligible to return.
That's everyone else that attended ANY minicamps who has returned to date outside of LSU.

that’s the case I could be wrong but LSU gets the auto W
It wouldn't count towards the season record
According to NCAA and SEC bylaws, it would.

This is not how it works. It’s the exact opposite of how it works.
LSU follows injunction for 6 weeks, appellate court dissolves injunction after 6 weeks, SEC cannot penalize LSU for those 6 weeks.
You and the guy arguing over NIL should start a new topic and discuss it.
