They just admitted in the courtroom that it was actually 8-8? Is that what you are saying?

Ncaa attorney

These athletes last completed under 25/26 manual and exhausted eligiblity under that manual. New does not apply because they never completed under new rules.

New rules are prospective and not retrospective

Virginia has an entire OL of 6th and 7th year guys.

Prior to this year it was 5 to play 4.

One of the dumbest things I remember the NCAA doing is not including the 2022 class.

The case started as a TRO against the NCAA banning these players due to using up their “eligibility.” That’s why there are non SEC players there. This became an SEC issue when Sankey banned the players and laid out the penalties associated with playing them.
I get all that. But when the TRO was updated to add the SEC it should have been separated into 2 groups, as obviously the plantiffs are fighting different causes.

It worked out I guess, but could've been an unnecessary delay had the judge decided to be a stickler

NCAA also says to this day that Trinidad Chambliss completed his eligibility.

Let's see some consistent enforcement of NCAA and SEC rules.

Visual Scene from the Court: Former NFL preseason players Zxavian Harris and Dae'Quan Wright are sitting side-by-side in the gallery watching the proceedings unfold. SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey is seated just a short distance away. Due to the massive profile of the case, at least seven court bailiffs are present to manage the packed room. The Inter-State Legal Threat: A major point of contention introduced is a letter sent by Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr to Greg Sankey. In it, Carr pressured the SEC to utilize "all measures available" to aggressively punish LSU if they attempt to field these players, showing how deeply other states are pushing the SEC to freeze out former pros. The Impending Ruling: Judge William Jorden is currently listening to responses regarding his threat to hold the NCAA in contempt over the power conferences passing "draconian" roster rules to bypass his initial order.

Does that mean players that are trying to play in the sec or have already played in the sec?

Perfect. So Chambliss is ineligible. Glad we got that figured out.

Why are Texas, Kentucky, Missouri and MIssissippi State not involved in this? They all are doing the same thing.

nice. Judges don't like it when you try to go around their rulings
