If these players get a preliminary injunction and federal case delays matters (meaning the SEC doesn’t cave) the monetary damages to the players could approach $100M.

I hope Lane has the phone calls recorded, because if not, the SEC will say they never agreed to anything when Lane called them.

Id be willing to be either Lane didnt do the actual call or there were more people involved than just him. I can imagine the Head Coach dialing up the league office and sitting on hold to get an eligibility answer

I agree but arion carter for tennessee did that went to the combine decided against it so left the combine and got a 1 game suspension because he didnt pay a plane ticket. Rules are only implemented where they see fit not in all cases and thats the problem.
