With a guarantee of being the highest paid defensive coordinator. On a 2 year deal that auto renews yearly with a top 15 defense. He's the best, and we gotta fricking do something. It would take stupid money to pull him from clemson, especially with his son there.

Why would he leave Clemson to come to LSU and work with O?

Dabo > O. No amount of money would make that happen.

Why would he even consider leaving Clemson and its top-tier PROGRAM to come to LSU and have to work for Coach Zero? Makes no sense.

And before you say money, he's only 49 and has plenty of years and options ahead of him. He'd be crazy to give up the success and stability of Clemson to come to LSU.

Head to head results say differently.

Let’s not pretend that the ACC is at all competitive and that LSU would not be dominant in that conference.

Clemson benefits from a weak schedule every year.

If his contract had a guaranteed matching of the highest paid defensive coordinator position with a top 15 defense, he might just accept it lol....

Clemson beat LSU in the 2012 Peach Bowl. Last year? Sure, fantastic win by LSU but they did it with the best team in school history. Clemson was there with another top-notch team.

What does this have to do with anything? LSU isn't in the ACC. And if it was they'd have to deal with Clemson each year like they now have to deal with Bama.

And from what I've seen, no, LSU would not be "dominant" in the ACC this year.

So you think Brent Venables lays awake at night feeling guilty for beating NC State? He's a leader of a top-three PROGRAM that wins each and every year and competes for national titles. That's stability. LSU can't match this.

If he'd accept 3mil, I think we would talk him into 4.3mil.

You would be better off trying to get Barry Odom.

Why? So O can throw him under the bus like he did with Aranda? O isn’t coming across as a guy who elite coordinators would want to coach for. Defends Ensminger/Pelini but made sure to point out every time he was unhappy with Aranda, starting to seem like a petty frickhead to me
