1 National title and another national runner up with another half dozen top 10 finishes is a hall of fame career or at least worthy of consideration.
Easily a HOF career.

He won those games. Give them the wins back
I'm coming at this only from the Legal side of things. The NCAA is the authority and they investigated and ultimately punished LSU for findings of cheating that occurred under Les' watch.
Many of those Wins came from key players like Vadal Alexander who was proven to have inappropriately accepted money when his family moved from Georgia to BR and illegally received payments for a phantom job.
Sounds like Les' beef should be directed at the NCAA, not LSU. He was the one who left Woodward with this mess and got away clean. LSU didn't freely just give back Wins for no reason, they were forced to settle on what was going to be an imminent punishment for the program.

It was a waste of time, hurt the program in the long run, hurt our school’s brand, and generally sucked.
You think LSU football from 2005-2016 was a waste of time and hurt LSU's brand?

Anyone who thinks Les miles is a great football coach is retarded.
Guy coasted off talent alone. Yes he was a great recruiter but that was it. Couldn’t develop anyone and his in game coaching was god awful. Anyone on this board could’ve coached his lsu teams to 8-9 wins.
The Les miles era was fun for 3 seasons. Then his true colors showed and the rest of his tenure was stressful and extremely frustrating.

Not sure he'll win this but I was never okay with them vacating his wins. Les was a good coach in his prime. It's just unfortunate he never evolved with the game to adapt better to it and eventually it passed him up.

He was, and his record backs that up.

This is you being selective with your memory. You don't win 100 games in the SEC's golden era by being a shite coach.

This was always fun to say then you saw what an actual moron could do in coach 0.

I question your fandom.

Maybe if he had developed a functional game plan to win his 2nd title in 2011. Or if he had decided to bring his offensive philosophy out of 1912.
These seemed to have been more impactful on his hall of fame chances than any thing LSU did after he was fired from his last 2 jobs for ineffective coaching.

I haven't found any articles which have the lawsuit in its entirety. Has anyone else found it?

Never should have given up those wins.

Can we counter-sue for 1/9/2012?
There are not enough assets among the entire coaching fraternity to cover the cost of that.

How hilarious would it be if this gets tossed on prescription?

So wait, he's suing LSU for removing his win record due to inappropriate behavior but not suing Kansas for firing him due to said inappropriate behavior?
No. That’s not what the lawsuit is about.
Did you read anything in the article or did you immediately start being a smartass and put your foot in your mouth immediately?

What point is that? He easily would be in the HoF had he not been so stubborn and refuse to adapt to the game. Him not being in the HOF is his own fault, nobody else’s. Guys a clown. That spike with one second left down a a score against ole miss in 2009 should forever disqualify him for the HOF.
None of this has anything to do with the vacated wins
But I do agree with you to some degree

no dog in this fight!!!!! but were any allegations made against Miles ever proven? or was he just #metooed? Sirius question
Posted on 6/17/24 at 12:25 pm to Gris Gris
Miles basic argument is that he has an ownership interest in the vacated wins and that his due process rights were violated because he was not notified and given an opportunity to be heard, his constitutional rights were violated.
An argument against his claim is that Miles was under contract and the results of his work as head coach are the property of LSU not him. LSU upheld its end of the contract by paying him the agreed amount. Further, the contract, which controlled the relationship between the parties, did not grant an ownership interest of the record to Miles.
