COACH MILES: It's really interesting. Early on in the season obviously it was all Jarrett Lee and Jarrett Lee's style of play. And, frankly, it was a burden.

When you add a style, there's just a little bit more to it, and you have to accommodate that piece. And I think the team's done a great job. I think both players interact extremely well. I think both players understand their roles.

Basically, when the backup quarterback took over, LSU had to install that pesky passing thingy.

Bleacher Report

'nuf said.

It was a burden to suddenly incorporate a new style of play right as the season began.

Miles did not mis-speak, BR misrepresented him.

Bleacher Report constantly finds and promotes controversy where no controversy exists.

CLM does not publicly diss his players, ever.

BR should apologize to Coach Miles for even intimating that he did.

BINGO!

It was not a dig at Lee. It was a dig at what Les and the team had to deal with.

He's saying it was a burden for Lee because he was unexpectedly thrown into the fire.

This is proof that Miles can be quoted saying "Potato", and you would read it as an attack on Lee. . .or proof that Lee will/won't play.

Damn, you suck.

How'd that 'passing thingy' work out when it counted most?

If a 2 QB system is a burden, please God don't subject us to it anymore. Pick one and roll with them. 1 more game...

Not sure what you mean. It sounded like Miles was talking as if the team had to work around Lee's "shortcomings" and then backtracked later in his quote. Your take?

"I would not be surprised to see Jarrett Lee in this game early on make significant plays and Jordan Jefferson step back in and do the things that he's capable of doing.

Oh how I wish CLM would hire a PR person to help him to publically speak so that this QB issues would not become an issue.

The statement with the "burden" could have been misunderstood by many and he really meant it to mean that the team had to make some adjustments to the change in the QB position. Who knows that change could have been why we are where we are today, however, JJ could have had the same success the first 8 games as well. None of us will ever know.

But what really gets me is when he says he wouldn't be surprised to see Lee in the game early, when in fact, it probably will not happen. He has made statements like "I would have liked to gotten him in sooner", etc., referring to Lee's playing time. Geez doesn't he realize where there is no smoke, there is no fire. Now everybody is going to thinking that Lee is going to get some playing time.

Maybe stupid people. Although it would be hilarious if we win the national title and the 1st question some BR media tard asked was about Lee's playing time.

Tell you right now, Les would never say anything negative about his players, end of story. This is just taking one line out of context, simply douchbaggery at its finest by the author and this initial poster.

You are no LSU fan and are by far the biggest troll on this board.

We beat them at home, the team is 13-0, Miles is the better of the two coaches.

You must be related to JL to be so butthurt.

hard to keep all the jackass posters straight but i'm pretty sure you're one of them. you've had a problem with miles for years and now you think he's hurt jarret lee's feelings so you post this bullshite out of context quote as a flame......3 days before we play for a fricking national championship. congratulations on being a fricking dick.

It had to be read in context. Plus we know for historical fact that CLM never puts his "laundry" out there in public, regarding player's or coaches. So, hearing of from that perspective it seems he meant the burden of having to deal with the situation as well as not having the running option at the qb position. The media twist what it can to get us to look at the headlines! Hopefully most LSU fans have enough of an IQ to figure this one out.... for those that don't, there is no use trying to explain it.... if you have to ask, you will never know

I like les miles as much as the next guy, but gd his says some dumb fricking things.

I understand the context, but out of 100 coaches asked the same question I'd bet every dollar I have no one would have used the term "burden"

Speaking of dollars, I wish I had one for every time les miles said something that made people say wtf does that even mean????
