Les on Lee

quote:

It's really interesting. Early on in the season obviously it was all Jarrett Lee and Jarrett Lee's style of play. And, frankly, it was a burden.

I'm thinking Les is just messing with Little Nickey and he is gonna put Austin Nola in at Quaterback for the BCSNC.

They did spend all summer and spring practice with Jefferson in mind. It most likely wasn't a shot at lee but just that they had to change play styles so soon.

I'm guessing he said this because he coludn't run the offense that way he wanted to.

He's saying not having both styles of QB was a burden.

i'm guessing that the whole spring practice was set up for jj and the option.
having to be creative and use lee was difficult for the players to change and therefore a burden.

just another burden:
ann miles
shady's
kragthorp
shepard
synthetic 3

etc
???

just a guess

No way to know for sure, but I don't think Lee was going to play at all if not for the bar fight. The 2 QB stuff only started after he had to play Lee.

have to run plays that JJ can handle , simple plays are not a burden

If you read what he said right after it provides that context.

I did not even read it and I admit it. I don't think that Miles had any intention of a 2 QB offense this year. This was JJ's team and the 2 QB stuff was forced on Miles IMO.

The "burden" is Miles and JJ and that is the only thing preventing a LSU win over the Gumps.

Edit: if JJ was his only option before the season, then LSU would not be in the title game. Good thing JL was a burden.

You forgot to post the rest of the interview:

"I would not be surprised to see Jarrett Lee in this game early on make significant plays and Jordan Jefferson step back in and do the things that he's capable of doing."

Dude...isn't the LC stuff enough?

Can we just chill on the negativity for a few more days?

Only Good LSU News, ok? If there isn't any, make some up or just remain at-ease.

Read the whole quote!

COACH MILES: It's really interesting. Early on in the season obviously it was all Jarrett Lee and Jarrett Lee's style of play. And, frankly, it was a burden.

When you add a style, there's just a little bit more to it, and you have to accommodate that piece. And I think the team's done a great job. I think both players interact extremely well. I think both players understand their roles.

Huh? Read it all? Wait, I just wanna read one word and jump to conclusions about what I already think. Les is disrespecting Gerrard Lee.

So GD annoying.
