Anybody know how many travel trailers the state purchased to set up the 3 quarantine sites at the state park or how many were actually used?

Adult general admission tickets $18.00
Kids 3-12 $9
Definitely get general admission tickets and you can sit where there is shade (top seats above the walkway around the stadium is general seating). Reserve is below walkway from 1st base to 3rd base and you will be in the sun).

I am not certain how big companies pay their claims but I will share with you my experience with EXXON.
I was at a red light in Gonzales when an Exxon employee in a company truck hit me from behind. I was not injured but had $3600 damage to my new vehicle. I did not sue them or receive any other compensation just the repairs to my vehicle.
Exxon did pay to have my vehicle fixed but 2 years later I received a notice from the IRS that I did not claim the 1099 on my taxes. I had no clue what they were talking about since I had never worked for Exxon. After much research, it appears that Exxon sent a 1099 to the IRS for the money they paid to have my vehicle repaired.
So I had to pay federal taxes on the $3600 they paid to have my vehicle repaired. After months of arguing with the IRS, I just went ahead and paid it.
Like I stated earlier, I don't know how big companies process their claims, so just make sure you don't have to claim the repairs to the vehicle as income.

re: Paying off credit cards and credit scores

You can get a copy of all 3 credit reports once a year for free here:
LINK
Don't close the accounts out as this will have a negative impact on her score. Also, it might work out best to make 2 payments on the cards to boost the score. Pay down the utilization on each card to below 50% the first month and then the other balance the following month.
Also, another idea that may be a benefit if there are late charges on her accounts, is for you to take the 18K that you are going to use to pay the cards off until she can tap into her equity, would be to take the money and place it into a separate savings account and allow the bank to do a "secure" loan in her name utilizing that account so that she can start to rebuild her credit. She can still take the equity and pay you back and continue to make a 3-6 monthly payments on that bank loan and then go in and have then to pay the loan off with the "secured" funds.

You should really try to listen to Jim Hawthorne on 98.1 commentating the baseball game while sitting at the box, it makes the experience much more fun!!

Sorry I forgot to ask the question.
She wants to know how long does it take to approval a $19 refund?
My answer was IDK but I guess more than 5 days since you have been getting that message for that many days, lol.
What do you think?

You started a thread over a $19 refund???
I did. Don't be such a grump about it.
It is a fun process to teach your teenage kids about how our government works. First time working last year so she is learning that you have to pay taxes, social security and have to file income taxes every year to see if you have to pay or get a refund (explaining that you really just want to break even).
I think you missed the point here. She is a teenager learning that our government doesn't get in a big hurry if it has taken 5 days just to get an approval for $19 bucks.

Teenage daughter waiting on her $19 state refund.
Previously the website said "Your return has been received but processing has not been completed."
For the past 5 days this is what it has been saying "Your refund is pending approval."

Not really but after having to pay one year because of a lot of OT, I have more withheld just so I don't owe at the end of the year.
Since I overpaid by 10,000, I see no point in letting the IRS hold onto MY money longer than necessary.

Wait to file the ammended tax after your original has been processed. If you file before this, your tax return will be flagged and it is a long process.
I filed in February last year and ammended mine 2 days later and I did not get my refund until October.

Yes wait until they process the original and then file the ammended return so it is not flagged. I did ask the IRS the same question and was told that I could have filed it after my first tax return had been filed.

I don't know the answer to this but I do know that if you are expecting a refund and you file an ammended return right now that your refund will be held up for quite a while.
I did an ammended return 2 days after I filed my taxes last year in February of last year and I got my refund in October.
When I called the IRS to ask why it was taking so long, they told me that when you ammend your return, it is flagged and sent to a "live" person who then sends it to another department, etc so the process takes a while.

re: 18 year old son wants to start building credit. Recommendations?
Posted by mmtsanders on 2/7/13 at 3:01 am to htownjeep
This is how we did it.
We let our daughter take out a small loan using our savings account as collateral. We made her take the loan money and stick it in her savings account and each month for 6 months made her transfer the payment out of her savings account to make the payment. We did this twice and the second time we increased the loan and repeated the process.
Also we bought her a new car at 18 and put her on as a cosigner and got her 2 credit cards (Capital one and Discover with a 500 limit). Since she only used them for gas and a few other small items, she paid them in full every paycheck (usually the balance was only 50+ dollars so it was easy for her to do. She would prefer to pay with cash but understands the importance of being able to be responsible with credit.
After a year she decided to trade her car in and get a new one. She was able to get it in her own name because she had established credit and a credit score over 700.
BTW she is only 20 and will gradute college next year. All of this has paid off for her and it showed her how to be responsible. She is getting married at the end of the year and she and her finance just got approved to start building their first home.

I amended ours on 03/01/2012 (they owed us money) and I got the refund ib September.
It seems that there are several steps in processing an amended return.
When I called to check on ours in late May, they said it had been stamped received and would be 4-8 weeks longer. When I called back in late July, it had gone though another stage and was sent to another department to be processed, which took another 6 weeks.
Of course, mine might have been slow due to the fact that I filed the amended return while regular taxes were still being filed.

I'll admit he drove me crazy with his 2-QB system statements to the media, don't understand what happened in the NC game or why he didn't try anything different, and hated the whole thing with JL not getting to play at the last home game at LSU or NC. No disrespect for JJ because I liked him as well.
However, my teenager daughter and friends went to the movie a few weeks after the NC game and ran into CLM and his family and he was kind enough to take some pictures with him and they all said he was very, very nice gentleman. So I think that speaks volumes as to his character.
As a coach, I do think he is a "mad hatter" and very gutsy and I like that about him.
I come to realize that I have never been and never will be a competitive person. Personally, if the entire team got to play in every single game, I would still be cheering for them. Of course, I do realize this would not be a good strategy and this is not a little league game.
