I think we have a soft tik tok QB. The guy is too focused on looksmaxxing and not focused on throwing the dang football.
The last two plays on offense were two bad misses, including him hitting a defender in the helmet for our last play of the game.
Maybe he should adjust his diet again?

Lol he's not soft at all. The guy was taking hits and putting his body on the line to get yards. He has problems but being soft isn't one.

Not sure what you are really saying here. Looks like you are overthinking it. He is just spastic back there. He hurried throws all night long that did not warrant it and wound up missing bad.
He looks to me like a QB that has always got high marks for making plays with his legs (aka. Jayden Daniels) and not with his arm. If he wants to improve he has to calm the frick down and throw good balls.

We can say a lot of things about Leavitt, soft ain't one of em. Dude might not be your cup of tea but he is gritty as hell.

Someone elsewhere said this and I am starting to believe he can’t get past his first read and just runs. Could that be bad o line play, yes, but we have all seen him tuck and run out of a relatively clean pocket.

He is as raw as it gets. He is a good athlete still learning the position. If he is smart he’d retool his throwing motion to come over the top. That’s an offseason project.

The guy got flipped and did a full aerial 360 and got back up and ran another play without taking a break.

You watch this guy and think of Jayden Daniels? Good lord I wish. Daniels has legs but also a great arm. And doesn’t panic as soon as he says hut.

Agreed. For gods sake at least look for your first read from time to time. I think looking to his second read is asking too much at this point.

He isnt soft. He is also not a championship qb.

He's definitely not soft. He's always trying to maximize yardage when he runs. He does have terrible passing mechanics. Low delivery and his feet are often in the wrong position.

Yeah, the one thing he isn't is soft. Dude goes full speed and takes the hardest hits just for an extra few yards or to get in the end zone. I love the fearlessness, but it is concerning with the rest of the SEC schedule ahead.
With that said, his accuracy on wide open guys needs work for sure. He is just very inconsistent. Through a long, beautiful dime to Watkins for a TD, but missed two wide open players in the end zone. He also needs to be able to read the D better pre-snap at times to help with his decision-making.

I’m thinking if he doesn’t progress Lane will cut him loose at the end of the year. I don’t disagree with you. I don’t understand how nobody has tried to correct his sidearm delivery. Maybe they have and he just can’t relearn the proper way? He gets more batted balls than any 6’ plus QB I’ve ever seen
