While I agree somewhat, a mobile qb would mask some of the issues. Currently Nuss brings nothing to the table. He is not a threat to run and he's been wildly inaccurate. They should let MVB play a few series just to see.
Nobody is talking about Thomas who had a pass, run, and catch. Looks versatile. Only thing holding the offense back is play calling.
IMO, don't slow play any of the three. Accept the first to commit and call it a day.

The On3 site has him as the #1 QB and #9 overall player. 247 has him #1 QB and #1 overall, but composite #22 overall. Presently I don't think anyone can make a good argument that he isn't at the top of his position. Regardless, there is two other highly rated prospects in state. LSU has been successful in the portal at the QB position. Would love to have him, but wouldn't like to see them overpay to get him.
There is 3 minimum quality QBs from a Louisiana in 27. Haven currently has the most potential. That being said don't overspend on one player. The portal has changed the importance of having to absolutely land any one player.

He should visit Michigan in December
Solid addition. Lots of question marks due to lack of playing time, but that's the same as bringing in a high school recruit. Required by Raymond twice, so I'd like to think he sees something in him.
People fail to realize he inherited a depleted roster. He's been trying to fill gaps the last three years. The QB and lack of run blocking is a huge issue. The defense lacks depth and a below average safeties. The team is a decent QB from being a 1 loss team. Those critical of him should look at Florida St.
As much as I'd like to see him at LSU, if the the rumors are true that's a substantial amount. There are no guarantees he will make it to the NFL. If he is truly as talented as he appears, then he would get drafted from any school he plays at.
It's NIL. It's not being paid by the university. It's absolutely no difference than endorsements of professional athletes. When the Supreme Court ruled amateur athletes could be paid of NIL, the market sets that. If Nike is willing to pay a college athlete 50 million, then it is what it is.
While I'm not a huge Kelly fan, fans are unrealistic. Look at Florida St. Kelly has put together solid recruiting classes. Nuss is not the answer, but what other option does he have? Sark has Texas money. Bama and Georgia both have an extremely talented roster. The SEC is loaded with quality teams. The defense has several average players and the QB is average. If LSU closes with the class it currently has verbals from, it will be a step in the right direction.

I’m in a keeper. Kept Bijan. I will be 4th pick with Hall and Taylor still left. WR left Lamb and Wilson. I’d love to get Hall, but don’t think he will be there.
Was in Pittsburgh for a conference. Sat behind the Pirates dugout. He had a great game. Busted his arse at first base trying to beat the runner.
Not one single true national contender has average quarterback play and no running game. Daniels is a below average passer. I think he probably looks great in practice against our secondary.
I can't disagree that it was his first game at a new position. The issue was that he seemed totally lost. Prior he was playing off instinct. He appeared to be overthinking during the game. That should improve as the season goes on.
I would go with it seemed the whole team quit including the coaches.
The question is why did he stay in after multiple drops? It's not like they lack backups at that position.
The team had several glaring issues. Daniels does bring a threat of the run, but he is so limited in downfield passing that the defense doesn't respect it. I'm not sure I saw a throw with any receiver in stride. It was all comebacks to the ball. Multiple times I saw receivers telling him to put air under the ball. If Daniels the best we have, then next year will not meet expectations either.
