Lunardi lost all credibility putting UK at a 6th seed. They are 66th in the rpi. We are 56th in the rpi. We also are in 1st place in the SEC, and we are very convincing in conference play.

Mike Montgomery is at California now. Johnson was an assistant under him when he was at Stanford, including 1998 when they went to the Final Four.

Well what's better: an 11/12? I bet 7/10s have made more sweet 16s than 11/12s. With few exceptions, a lower seed is always desired.

That 8/9 is tough because you are guaranteed a #1 in the 2nd round. But FWIW two #8s made th Final 4 in 2000 and it isn't all that uncommon for a #8#9 to beat at #1.

that is ridiculous, KY should be approaching bubble status.

Just for the record, I was agreeing with you. He definitely has KY too high.

5 SEC Teams, LSU only 1 from SEC West.

I'm assuming that the blue arrow means that they could fall and the red arrow means the team is on the rise?

I love the way LSU is playing. Right now, we win the west and we are in. JMHO. We beat either Florida or Kentucky and make at least a semi finals appearance in the SEC Tourney I think we are at least a #7 seed.

We kick UK and UF's butt and win the Tourney then we are talking 4 or 3 seed. Bif "ifs" I know, but this is all hypothetical right?

Besides LSU, no one from the West even warrants serious consideration. This is the exact reason LSU SHOULD win the overall SEC title. The East will continue to beat up on each other while LSU should feast on the other SEC West teams.

I can't see any team finishing better than 12-4 in the East. LSU looks poised to do just that.

It could be a repeat of 1999-2000. LSU, UF, UK, and Tenn all tied at 12-4

Don't forget that the name on the front of the jersey automatically gets a team a high seed at the beginning of the year that they must lose over the course of the year.

California would lose to LSU by 45. I mean, come on. They're from the Pac 10 and we're SEC!

Since 2000, 11 seed has 17 wins and 12 seed has 16. That's as good as 9 seed with 16 and only a couple wins behind 10 seed with 19.

Big advantage for 8 seed with 26 wins, but it's a mixed bag for 9 through 12.

Cal? Last time we played them (3/18/93), a little POS named Jason Kidd went nuts on us.

This isn't football.....

But yes, I think LSU would beat down Cal. 2nd round game would be very bad for LSU though.
