This deep into the season, I’m reluctant to slot one team over another if there is a two-loss difference in record (5-2 over 7-0, for instance). But when there’s a one-loss difference and a marked disparity in SOS/quality wins, I have no problem slotting, say, 6-1 over 7-0.

#12 - Michigan (5-2)
#13 - TCU (7-0)

#17 - Texas A&M (5-2)
#18 - Oklahoma State (7-0)

*Disclaimer: As noted by other posters, this is a completely meaningless poll. Just goes to show you either: (i) how little these pollsters pay attention; or (ii) what lengths they are willing to go to get some press.
I looked into it after seeing your post. Seems like it might be good in certain limited situations but I wouldn't do a variable rate with a large sum of money. Also, can only be used with private loans which would exclude a large number of folks (myself included).

re: Best place to book trips?

I recently searched for a resort in the Caribbean and used Hotwire. They were the lowest price by far, but it only works if you do flight and hotel. If you just do hotel, Hotwire won't let you see the name of the hotel you are booking (I think priceline is also like this).

I doubt Hotwire is the best for all resorts, but they definitely were for this particular one. I also searched: Expedia, hotels.com, cheapcaribbean, bookit, etc. I would recommend doing the same and then going with the cheapest.
Does anyone know the cutoff number for season tickets this year?

I'm sitting at 7000 so I know I'm not even close, but just wondering how far.

I use PenFed for gas (5%) and CapOne for everything else (1.5%).

Traffic on i12 coming in. Parade grounds is filling in.

People are coming, just not early (by 130 gametime standards)

We do exist but there aren't that many that are huge fans (ie. watch as many games as possible). I would say that's mainly because it's pretty difficult to watch a game up here since the NBA gives us so few national games and DirecTV doesn't carry CST.

Cholly Mac won 67% of the games at LSU... still a good percentage, but it wasn't 79%.

Not to mention he went 40-27 (59.7%) over his last six years.

Ridiculous. I have Sunday Ticket so it doesn't matter but I thought all these issues were worked out after the Super Bowl. I just moved back to Shreveport and this is extremely lame.

Come on now.

This should have no effect on your credit.

Obviously I have a limited amount of knowledge on the entire situation, but I assume that once I dispute the charge it will be revoked and the company will then turn me over to a collection agency that will try and "convince" me to pay my debts. I couldn't care less about a few phone calls here and there, but I assume there is some mechanism by which my credit is affected by these debts being handed over to an agency.
Thanks for the responses. Basically I know I am in the right, but I don't want to end up hurting my credit in the long run over a $75 charge that doesn't really mean much.
Long story short, a company has charged me a relatively small amount [$75] that I feel is in error. Basically I think the the company is trying to take advantage of me and is over-charging me despite a very clear agreement on what the charge was meant to be [we were so clear in fact that I believe the manager at this point is just lying to me]. I have attempted to contact the company owner and they stand firm in their stance and I stand firm in mine. Is it worth going through the hassle of disputing the charge with my bank [and the possible collection dispute afterward] or should I just swallow the pride and pay the amount?

For those that don't wish to read the whole thing - is $75 worth it?
FWIW

$42 million on 6 players [assuming we get Belinelli]

We have starting 1 [and backup], start/backup 2, starting 3 [and backup], no 4, and starting 5.

Most teams spent around $65 million last year, so assuming things stay the same [which they won't], we have $20-25 million to spend on a backup 2, keep Dwest or Landry [and sign a backup] and get a backup center - plus a few more "bodies."

We are actually 97th in "Title Track" which is how many championships the team has won.

I realize, just pointing out it isn't exactly a travesty that Richardson was ranked above Ford.

Trent Richardson is pound for pound stronger?

He does beat Ford in every strength stat you posted . . .

But honestly, who cares?
They are such an old team, I just don't see what they would have to offer anyone.
I saw him once on TV at a road game though I can't remember which one. Maybe Golden State?

Back up for me.

The thing about that is, this isn't the 1,000,000th thread about Chandler.

Yes it is.

Let's just have one mega thread where people can bitch about JR Smith, Thornton, and Chandler at their leisure without bothering the rest of us.

quote:

I don't think anyone would really dispute that Gasol is a better player than Okafor. Randolph is much hungrier than West on the boards which gives him the edge as being a better player.

Okafor had a really good year and had better stats in the major categories including an extra 2.5 rebounds/game.

But again, when you factor in pay there is no comparison [although Marc will get paid after this year].
quote:

I dont remember any Randolph talk, but I do remember Gasol talk and overall most people liked Gasol. I know I was a fan.

Who wouldn't be? He is younger and bigger than Okafor with comparable stats and for about 1/4 of the price. But how exactly would we get rid of Okafor?
quote:

then when people discussed getting mark gasol to play center in the offseason people flipped out. a shaky start gave a lot of ammo

I don't know about that - I've heard nothing but good things about Gasol on this board. People here have always talked about trying to acquire Gasol.

Bama did twice. Florida did it twice. Auburn did it. Are we one of the top programs in the SEC? I think so. So we should be able to accomplish it as well, especially if we are getting better players than them.

You sure about that?
