We could get revenge for Jason Kidd's last second heroics.

When it's said and done, we will be a 5-7 seed IMO

East (10) LSU vs (7) California

NCAA loves that stuff. Trent vs his old boss.

Nice to see the SEC up to 5 bids.

Only thing is that I don't see Cal making the tourney. They have been slipping fast.

What a sham. I would think that Tennessee would be ranked lower and florida too. Idk. We will see, but this LSU basketball team is gonna shock some of these so call experts.

I'd like to stay away from an 7,8,9 or 10 seed. Makes getting past the 2nd round very difficult.....But, I really shouldn't be picky at this point

Right or wrong, Tenn still has the pre-season hype working in their favor. They also played a lot tougher non-conf schedule and their RPI is signficantly higher. I'm not saying I agree with the Vols position, but they seem to always get a higher seed than deserved under Pearl.

Johnson was an assistant under Mike Montgomery, who now coaches Cal

Without question. Winner gets the #1 seed.

The winner of 7/10 gets the #2 seed, so that's not much better.

You're right, but I always think back to the Auburn/St. Joe's 7/10 matchup. I think Auburn was a 10 and went all the way to the sweet 16 and lost to Syracuse by 1.

Head to Head just isn't as important in CBB than football. That being said, I do think LSU is better than Tennessee.
