Lunardi lost all credibility putting UK at a 6th seed. They are 66th in the rpi. We are 56th in the rpi. We also are in 1st place in the SEC, and we are very convincing in conference play.

i think lunardi has done more than enough to show he's credible. it's not like its his final projections anyway.

We are weak i wish i could say we have a shot in the tourney but unless we continue to run the table and get a good seed we dont. I will say we have improved dramatically since our near ULL loss...

I have no idea what that means, but it sounds like you are saying we have to go 15-1 in the SEC which is absurd.

We are 17-4 and 5-1 SEC. All we need to do is play solid ball and finish about 11-5 in the SEC and we should be fine.

March Madness is all about MATCHUPS. If you get a favorable draw, then you might make some noise. If you don't, you could very well go home after one game. It's way too early to make any assumption about what LSU could do in the NCAA tourney.

I can think of a couple of not-so-talented LSU teams that were seeded 10 and 11 and made a pretty nice run.

This is what makes the NCAA tourney so great. It's all about how you are playing in March and the draw. Make the dance and almost anything can happen.

When it's said and done, we will be a 5-7 seed IMO
When it comes to LSU basketball and the NCAA tourney whatever seed you think we should get, drop us down 2 or 3 rungs. In other words if you think we whould be a 5, we'll be a 7/8. Its just the way its always been even in our really good years.

tenn at 6

and we beat them at home and have a better record

Bracketology 101 which is more reliable IMO has both at a ten and USC at a 12.

Kentucky, Tennessee, and Florida having single digit seeds while we are a 10 is ridiculous. It will look even more ridiculous as LSU makes a run at the SEC regular season title.

i didnt mean we had to win out im just saying as other people have said that we are not looked upon strongly nationally so we have to win more games than other teams to get a similar ranking. and when they look at how weak our non conf schedule is and some of the games we almost lost it does not make us look good besides Xavier. And those other teams that did well with a 10-11 seed had a stud. I hope we do get a good draw win, and pull an upset like we did against duke i am saying i just dont think we can

Yeah this feeling is definitely out there nationally.

quote:

• LSU needs to continue to separate itself in the West. The Tigers beat Arkansas to improve to 5-1. Ole Miss had a great week, beating Kentucky and then knocking off rival Mississippi State to drop the Bulldogs to a game behind LSU. But the Tigers are clearly the best hope for an at-large berth out of the West with a 17-4 record. The problem is that LSU lost every critical nonconference game it played (Texas A&M, Utah and Xavier). That's why LSU has to show it is so far and away the best team in the SEC West to have a shot, and even that may not do it since the West is so muddling, its maddening right now.

LSU beats 1 team in the RPI top 50 and everyone blows up

UT has 4 wins vs. Top 50 teams, Marquette, GU, UF, and SC...LSU has 1...UT

LSU usually gets a shitty draw from the NCAA no matter what...

'90, 23-7...beat UNLV, LMU, Texas...2nd in SEC...get a 5 seed.

'00, 1st in SEC, won 11 of final 12 games...got a 4 seed.

'06, 14-2 in SEC, 1st pl by 2 games and got a 4 seed.

Also, the committee often sends us out west.

Hope this year is dfrnt
