Lane on crowd noise and music being played at Ole Miss that effected Sam

Is this legal? Never heard of a stadium doing that before.

The people at the game said it was extremely loud piped in music all the way till ball was snapped

I noticed that a few times during the game watching on TV. I hope the TS sound operator is taking notes for next year.

The OM people are saying this is making excuses and being a sore loser… but this is legitimately not allowed.
If we could have TS full throat + the PA system blaring music or generic noise teams would have 500 false starts.
It’s a legit unfair advantage.
It’s why they make moo state stop ringing bells at before snap.

Yes, it is technically illegal to do so. They can pipe in music or the band can play up until going to the line of scrimmage. Just like the cowbells aren't allowed going to the line of scrimmage.
How they got away with it is beyond me, and hope that gets looked into. Not that it changes anything but deserves to be called out.

They can lie all they want. People watched on TV and saw how their players were acting. Every tackle was like it was the most amazing thing they've ever done.

From the SEC bylaws:

At football games the use of amplifiers, microphones, and megaphones shall be restricted to the cheerleaders of the institutions participating, directed only toward the stands and shall not be used from the time the offensive center puts a hand on the football until the football has been snapped. Additionally, the use of institutionally controlled computerized

Penalties for use of traditional institutional noise makers in violation of this provision or failure to adhere to the institution’s management plan for traditional institutional noise makers shall be set forth in the Commissioner’s Regulations governing the sport of footbal

There was too much noise through the snap. It was their super bowl.
Maybe it should have been our super bowl to and they would have played well enough to win.

To me, coaches should have immediately brought this to the attn of the dumbass officials early in the game. Then, if nothing was done, bring it to their attention again. Not sure if this would have helped, but no matter, the officiating crew would have been reprimanded by sanctimonious Sankey (the last sentence was a joke guys)
