Problem is we just lost to a less talented team...how much of a talent advantage does LK need to overcome his coaching abilities

I’m still VERY bullish on this program.

It took him 6 years at Ole Miss to make a deep run postseason run, bet it takes half that or less here.

That’s why I’m tired of the “muh 50 million!” melt. You don’t just plug in a brand new team and expect to go all the way year 1. Lane has improved every team he has coached. I expect the same will happen here.

I bashed him last night for not going for it on 4th and 1, and he should have, and this loss is on him, but he’s learned from his mistakes both on the field and off. The same will happen here. Be patient (and I’m also telling myself that after last night).

Kiffin didn’t make a postseason run with Ole Miss.

We paid a lot for starters, but dont have depth. We lost the QB of our defense and our fricking cheat code TE on offense. Thats substantial...but fire Kiffin I guess??

Anyone who cant see this is a massive turn around from last year is fricking blind.

Brian Kelly loses that game by 3 scores

haven't we already heard talk that 2027 is likely going to need something like $10 million more?

Good luck to whomever is making that sales pitch.

At the beginning of the season, I wasn’t thinking playoff, I was looking at total wins. I thought we might be a 9-10 win team. That was overly optimistic. We are at best a 7-8 win team.

Nick Saban developed a system of accountability over the course of several years in a world where kids waited and learned or washed out. This is a new era of recruit really well, retain players, then get the difference makers in the portal. I’m not sure Lane or the fanbase has the patience for that. And before you say but Indiana that’s a totally different pathway to success than being a SEC team. Lane has to be better Sunday through Friday or it’s gonna get really tough. He is the best offensive mind in college but when I see him on the sidelines he looks very very uncomfortable (especially on the road).

Apparently the key is getting james madison players and then you can turn it around in one year at Indiana. At LSU with your pick of players from around the country its just gonna take more time

Is it 2022?

No. And it's not some damned yankee who never had to play a strong schedule in his entire career, and doesn't know SEC football and athletes either.

We are about two plays away from being 6-0.
That’s the way the ball bounces.
That last defense by Baker was ridiculous and he should know better.

Disagree. He was throwing lasers last night and has improved every game. He will be great.

Agree but I feel this way across all of college sports.

And Brian kelly coached notre Dame. They pick their schedule. They play maybe 3 games a year spread out.
Just like this year.

Well said!! Building a dynasty takes time. People need to understand what “building” is. You see what we are capable of with a group of guys who practiced for a month together. Had never taken a snap together. But that’s all apart of building.

Yes that loss hurt but i think it’s more about we all have high expectations in year 1. Let the team build. Show up and cheer, be a Real Tiger fan. Win or lose. Y’all want to bitch about losing but yet clear the stands and leave the game early when we win. That’s Just as bad as the refs that officiating these games that everyone wants to blame. Bunch of couch coaches.

As much as we do show up when we win, it’s more important that we continue to show up for the team when we lose. GEAUX TIGERS!

As of now if anyone thinks that LSU could be on the same field with either Alabama or Georgia you are not in reality. With the upcoming schedule left to play, it looks pretty bleak at the moment,

Well, our two loses came down to 2 or 3 plays

so we're that close to be undefeated

Loses make you feel like the world is falling apart

you are never as good or bad as you think

UF destroyed OM and then have lost 2 in a row, by like 60 points

I don't understand the SEC

OU has 2 bad loses and manages to beat UT yesterday

Nobody is dominate

Indiana didn't look all that to me yesterday, they just don't beat themselves like we do
