That would keep them there with the bigger games coming toward the end of the season, especially. I like what Kiffin is doing this year but I would be looking at something that gives even more incentive moving forward.
LSU has started something similar.
At least for Freshman.

Maybe 10 years ago, but I doubt this is the case now
Between dorms, Greek houses and apartments there are only 8500 or so beds for a campus population of 40k
And the bulk of the down population are freshman, who have the least amount of student tix
Way more students are driving or using uber than you think

I beg to differ. I’m not lucky enough to have season tickets but the games that I go to I realize that it’s a long time in the car when I get back to it after the game. It’s a great time to talk to the folks that you came with in the car, listen to the radio show about the game, etc. I mean it’s late already if you’re worried about getting sleep or anything maybe the game wasn’t a great decision to go to. I live about an hour and 15 minutes away from the stadium. If the traffic was great or if the traffic is bad, I’m getting home and the wee hours. What’s the difference? I don’t understand why people are so pissed about this.

Use free parking lots away from campus with free bus transportation for ticket holders that will pull out thirty minutes after each game to return the ticket holders to their automobiles or other forms of transportation. Of course the number of buses will vary according to the level of competition LSU football is playing. Each free parking lot will have a large visible sign indicating the lot number. Also, each bus will have a unique identifying number so the fans can find their correct bus after the game. The parking lots should be strategically located according to where our fans homes are located within the State of Louisiana. I think this would alleviate the bottle necks within the area around Tiger Stadium. AI may help with identifying the route the fans are most likely to use to return to their homes.

I understand traffic is a MOTHER after games. Me and my son flew down from Virginia Beach for the Clemson game, and it was pretty bad. We stayed the whole game, and a lot of fans left, so I imagine had it been a tighter game, traffic would have been worse.
But there's only 7-8 chances per year to watch the Tigers at home. Is it really that much of a sacrifice to battle traffic that many times per year?

Several things are being done now that should help when complete.
They are widening I-10.
They are adding and East bound entrance on Dalrymple
They are finally widening Nicholson from Gourier to Lee/Brightside

I’m 56, come early and have a great time and a few pops, stay late and drive about 1.5 hours to get to a bed. Will do it as long as God gives me on this earth.
Oh btw I drive in from Houston on Friday and back Sunday.
If you live in Louisiana imo you have no excuse to not stay and soak up the best game and gameday experience in America. It’s only 8 times a year.
