He’s coaching way more conservatively than normal.

I think he has confidence in baker’s defense which is something he hasn’t had in the past.

But we need him to be the aggressive coach he was at Ole Miss.

It makes sense. You are ignoring the probability that Kentucky wins in regulation (in hindsight they likely would have) if you don't get it.

Our defense was dog shite. Keys had a terrible game, IMO. That's a good argument for going for it...no confidence in the defense. But, the defense was better in the 2nd half...

A shot in the dark: I think CLK and any LSU HC ought to be very wary of LSU’s notoriously loud and highly critical fan base. When the drums start beating there is no turning back.

Agreed. This will only ratchet up in Nov.

If he knew the squad wasn’t up to snuff, he should’ve tempered expectations to the fans. He and 3rd&Baker are very much overpaid for these results.

I can see it both ways. We don’t convert there and this place is livid “our D was playing well! You can’t hand them the ball there!”

It is twice now he’s chosen to have faith in his D and not go for it, for Baker to then immediately collapse (kicking the FG for the tie against OM and last night ) so maybe quit having so much misguided faith in the dipshit that wears short sleeve hoodies

They could have wasted all the clock and scored a TD

He explained exactly why in the presser. He said their kicker missed two and our second half defense played better.

In my opinion, any analysis that included “hoping” the kicker would miss again and/or the defense would play well was just that —hope and not a plan. Hope is never a plan. He had a plan on how to score quick in OT. Run the QB power play and pick a yard on 4th and 1. Control your destiny.

Did you break down the film coach? Do you know what the calls were or that all 11 players on the field executed the calls properly? How many missed tackles and assignments did Blake Baker have?

Typical clueless retard LSU fan. You don't know diddly poo about what was actually happening on the field or who is to blame.

Oh and the coaches for the other team, they get paid millions of dollars too.

I too wished Lane had gone for it but Blake Baker had 80 yards no timeouts decided to rush 3 no pressure basically allowed them to take chunks of yards downfield. Both sides were infuriating to watch.

LSU has to incorporate 99 into our offense in the red zone, and do more of that stupid push push crap. Our red zone offense is awful

Says the guy making personal jabs out of the gates and doesn’t feel he has the mental capacity to scrutinize coaching decisions. I am sure this subject matter is very complicated for you

You don't even know what the decisions were. That's my point.

The defense gave up a late field goal so the coach is an overpaid moron? Do you know how dumb that sounds.

Not to mention the fact that the players and coaches on the other side are highly paid individuals too and sometimes they outplay or out coach you. It happens every weekend at all levels of football.

"Grrrrrr grrrrrr coach dumb, fire coach"

He was willing to go for it on 4th and one from his own 28 but not his own 40. That is the signs of a coach that was scared to do what was necessary to win.

It also shows a coach who clearly does no game study to see the history of his atrocious DCs playcalling to end halves and games.

Baker has blown more leads than a Phi Mu sister.

These statements all support going for it on fourth down. 4th and 1/2 yard is a huge 80% favor for the offense to convert. Heck, UM went for two against us in this equation. We just pussied out.

So you ignore his history and the fact he just let them drive the field before half to score a TD, right?

I almost wish UK made those FGs to force Kiffin not to be a moron with his tail between his legs on the last drive.

Hence, Lane needs to be asked what he has learned about himself and the LSU job

because on the road conditions, you finish them right there,
if we can't get a yard when it matters, we don't deserve victory

They got 3 yards when it matter most in the most difficult part of the feild to score

My belief as well. If you cannot get a yard, you do not deserve to win.
