I like many free things, but when leading by 2 going in the 9th baseball isn’t one of them.

I can bitch about him switching pitchers mid-batter and bringing in a kid who was making his 4th outing in a week, who then proceeded to walk the next three batters, throwing 11 balls to 2 strikes. Then, we bring in our closer, who should have been up after Gervase, who will presumably now be pitching an additional inning in a now extra innings game, possibly rendering him unavailable Friday as well.
If you want preserve Gervase, fine, but don't have him start an at bat not to finish it. And don't replace him with a kid who doesn't need to be pitching nearly every single game, only to bring in our closer to pitch multiple innings a day before an SEC series starts.
