He is done, his talent level doesn’t justify the PR hit a team will take if they sign him.

Ruggs will be 27, but I just don’t see a team giving him a shot. I don’t know how good of football shape he would be in anyway coming out of prison. BTW, he shouldn’t have any shot of getting out that early.

Lacy was like a 5th round projection before this incident…convicted or not, his football days are over.

If he gets 5 years, he will only spend 2.5 years behind bars. So he won’t be too old.
He’s not the type of talented you wait on. He needed things to break his way in order to hope to stick in the NFL. Any delay in that is most likely a career ender.
But that isn’t his biggest issue right now

So my thing is this. Kid was a mid round pick at best. Now you had Top 5 picks like Travis Hunter, S. Sanders, and Cam Ward ( be it only a half to set a record), playing in meaningless bowl games. Lacy decides he's to important to finish the season with his teammates. When he really needed to show NFL teams he could play at least one game without dropping a pass. Had he not opted out the bowl, he's probably not home to have gotten into / caused this accident. He's in BR practicing with his team.

Kyren has a good chance to play in the NFL. Donte Stallworth actually killed a man while under the influence served 30 days in jail suspended from the nfl for a season and went back to the league after. Don’t listen to these fools. These hateful posters are the same ones who says Donald trump is a law abiding citizen.
I don’t know how it’s possible that you idiots keep parroting this like it’s anywhere close to the same situation.

I want to make fun of you. But I think this is a genuine and serious post. Which makes it rantarded.

I meam tjeu have mixhael vick how many years for fifhting and frainimg dogs....which is bad emough....but lacy caused the death of a human being through his stupid action. Hes not goimg tp play ball agian after this. Period.

Depends on Ruggs' situation. That's how Lacy's will play out.

You have to be Jalen Carter good for the NFL to ignore you killing a bunch of people in a vehicle.
Carter didn’t kill anyone. The driver of the other car was drunk and lost control of the vehicle. Carter was only racing the car. He didn’t crash into it

This has to be one of the dumbest post I have ever read on this board…ever
Lacy and the NFL are done, no matter how much you spin he caused a man to be killed by his stupid immature actions.

and (more recently/comparable) Jalen Carter.

Lacy seemingly acts without concern for the consequences of his actions
It sure seems that way. My first true introduction to him was the ridiculous gesture he made against USC. That was described afterwards as a one-off bad decision. That take is now aging like sweaty gym socks in a car with no AC in August in South Louisiana.

It sure looks that way from the outside looking in. Based on the reported facts, he had to see that he caused the accident. He had to know it was serious by looking at those vehicles. Don't know when he found out a man died or of the other injuries, but days later, he wrote his goodbye to LSU and declared for the draft like nothing happened. I keep wondering if he was counting on not getting caught since he left the scene.
I'm hoping some news outlet gets the accident report and releases it.

Negligent homicide does not carry a minimum sentence. He will plead down and serve maybe 6 months to a year, with 5 years of probation. He will get hit the hardest in a civil suit.

as far as the victims are concerned, Lacy not serving time and making money playing football is probably what's best for them. They won't get much, if any, money out of him if he's sitting in prison. I'm sure he's spent most of any NIL money he's been paid.
