Make that ranked first in points allowed for seasons 2012-2015, ranked 3rd in 2016. Then began to fall off due to injuries as the DB's got older.

He did that shite with Brandon Browner. That a-hole made Ken Crawley look like a competent corner.

What’s his current employment

Currently listed as the passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach for Dallas. LINK

Seems like an odd coaching combo but probably works out pretty well. During the week he is coaching defensive backs and game day he is "coordinating" passing plays for situational offensive football in terms of down and distance.

HE isnt responsible for any of that til 2015 and that's when it started declining.

He runs a zone coverage scheme, which doesn't work well in college with top tier athletes in all honesty.

I guess he'd be a big name, but he doesn't really have a ton of DC experience.

The DB coach isn’t responsible for the performance of the DBs?

The defense declined when he took over? What did the decline look like? What were the circumstances that led to the decline?

Noticed 2 former LSU Tigers on the Cowboys' coaching staff in Greg Jackson and Brett Bech.

If you pay them, they will come. And nobody is willing to pay as much as LSU so far for assistant coaches.

They didn't have the number 1 scoring defense the season he became the DC, they were still top 5 I think, but the defense did not look anything like it did the previous superbowl seasons. They were letting games slip away on the defensive side where as up until then they were the ones putting games away and they were giving up a lot of big plays/ game changing plays, it was 3rd and Chavis but worse.

They were #1 in points and #2 in yards.

Richard DC Stats

It appears that the biggest decline was the rush defense taking a step back in year 3. With all of the injuries to key personnel that year, they still finished in the #11 in points and #13 in yards. Top10 in pass defense all three years.

When he became our DC is when the defense started taking a noticable decline

His defense was first his first year. 3rd his second year. “Noticeable decline”. I’ll give you his third year but half the secondary was hurt for large parts of that year. I don’t understand your point about the players doing well at different places without him. Cool I guess, Sherman and Thomas are both on elite defenses.

That's still a decline each year,yeah?
I didnt say hes awful and wrecked the defense, I said it started taking its decline under him. And it did, you can look up numbers to make yourself feel better but the defense started giving away games under him and they hadn't done that much the previous years.
Theres a reason the Seahawks got rid of him and he didn't do anything major with the cowboys either.
I wouldnt say he was awful or even bad, but he wasnt a good DC, he took over an elite defense from Quinn and it just got a little worse each year. Hes a good DB coach but nothing to prove he's a good DC.

Do not want. He Larry Cokered his way to success his first couple of years at the helm and the Seahawks defense hasn’t been the same since

Saban wasn't let go. He left to take the Michigan St HC job.
