Coach O could announce today that he's hired Jesus Christ "The Miracle Worker Himself" and here at Tiger Rant it would get down voted, ridiculed, and TRanters would call for his firing. Everyone here knows thats the God's Truth. No pun intended.

Do not want. Watch the Cowboys every week and this dude plays an outdated scheme. Not sure it would work all that great here.

It is pronounced Ree Shard
Obviously he was successful in Seattle, and he was a key component to the Cowboys playoff run in 2018. It would be a great hire though as others have said, losing him to the NFL would be a concern every year.

The fact that he played and worked for Pete Carrol for over a decade and was still let go leaves me a little uneasy. Though I trust O to obviously talk to Pete about it.
That and the fact Pete Carrol has almost always fielded very good defenses and they were elite before Richard took over.
I think this would be a much more riskier hire than some are willing to admit.
Shoop or Chizik are safer bets and have much longer track records.

This guy would have several intangibles in his favor. Watching him in video, I think he would be outstanding in a recruit's house! I believe he would instantly be an upgrade over Aranda in that regard. This game is still about the "Jimmy's and Joe's" to a large degree.

I would go with someone who has SEC experience. Throw all the money at Todd Grantham even Bret Bielema. Experimenting on young really unproven DC is not good for LSU.
