wasn’t a fan of him in dallas which had me a bit skeptical, but that could just be a cowboys problem. didn’t realize he was DC in Seattle for a couple years. might be a good hire, my only question would be his ability to recruit

So much so that they let him go. I credit the LOB to Dan Quinn personally.

Yet he led the defense to the no 1 in points allowed as D coordinator after Dan left...

Might not work with Raymond though.

Yeah, Richard is a CB coach and someone would have to coach LBers would they not?

I love Mo but Stevans would be the Cam Chancellor.

Yeah, he's deeply in the Pete Carroll tree.

Scary thing is, he kind of looks like Aranda.

This guy was considered a potential candidate for the Dolphins head coaching spot last year. Even if he is here for a year or two, he would be top notch.

Seriously what a dumb statement by that guy. Joe Brady wasnt on anyone's radar before the hire.

If we hired Richard then wouldn't we need to hire a LB coach as well?

Dallas was grooming him to be DC before the HC change. Marinelli was giving him play calling duties on a regular basis.

He's a young, energetic, smart guy that would relate well to players. I think he would recruit well because of that and his tie ins to the NFL and the great Seattle defenses when he was there.

I would be very onboard with this hire.

Would be a home run hire imo but my only worry would be is he just trying to find a job to springboard back to the nfl

His contract would need to include a large buyout for jumping back to the NFL within the first 3 years or so.

And I would also be concerned about his recruiting ability after spending the last 9 years in the NFL.

With Busch gone we can let Raymond coach all the DBs again and get a LB coach.

As a cowboys fan, this guy SUCKS!!! The cowboys defense was in much better shape when rod marinelli was DC. As others have already speculated, he would probably use this job as a temporary fix to springboard himself back into the NFL if he does a good enough job, which he probably won’t. There’s a reason the cowboys let him go and nobody in the NFL is blowing his phone up to hire him.

This guy would have the opportunity to help develop Stingley into an even greater monster with technique corrections too, plus Ricks coming in. That’s got to be intriguing to him. DBU!!!!

Man I’m liking this idea.

He is a DB coach and pass game coor? That seems odd.

Def coor I guess. That's anew one for me.

Sucking in the nfl has no bearing on what he would do in college imo
