Kim Mulkey as LSU HC?

KM is on AFR right now, so it got me thinking... I admittedly have never really gotten into women’s basketball, but I do think I would if she was ever the HC at LSU.
For those that know, could it ever happen?

she's made it known it that she'd only be interested in being a HC at either Baylor or Tech

She will never be the HC at Tech. They don't have the resources to legitimately compete with the big girls anymore. Not that major schools are taking girls basketball serious.

If LSU should hire anyone it needs to be the associate HC at Mississippi State

1. It will never happen for one because Mulkey is already happy and makes top notch dollar. She couldn't ask for anything more.
2. Alleva will most certainly not outbid anyone for a top coach.
3. Alleva plans to extend Nikki so he obviously doesn't care anymore

Being kind and throwing a bone to her alma mater. She will never be head coach there. Tech screwed that up a long time ago. Times have changed since and it wouldn’t ever make sense for her to do so now.

I watched KM as a junior high student at Nesom in Tickfaw. At Hammond High. Louisiana Tech. She's a winner. I don't understand why LSU hasn't pursued her years ago. ...

She is one of the most competitive humans that ever set feet to hardwood floor. I imagine there was a time where LSU didn't give her the "Best Player EVER" award at some junior high summer camp in 79, and she's never forgiven them for it.

You would have to pry her out of Waco. She has a very high paying job and no one gets in her way there.
No offense to LSU or Louisiana Tech but the ONLY schools that could land her services are Stanford, Duke and Notre Dame.

Not Tech. I used to live next door to Kim. She turned down countless jobs as Leon Barmore’s assistant HC as HC in waiting. When Leon retired they tried to give her a one year contract working for peanuts and she told them to piss off. Took the Baylor job and in short order won a NC there. I’m a graduate of both Tech and LSU and I’ve refused to donate a penny to Tech because of how disrespectful they treated Kim. She really is a nice person, a competitive proven winner, and I would love it if LSU could make that hire. As others have pointed out though 2 million is a bunch of money. Not sure if many of you have spent much time in Waco but if I were Kim that’s what it would have taken to make me stay in that city. Nothing against Baylor because it’s an excellent school I’m just not a fan of living in that part of Texas. Austin would be a different story.
