Bottom line is he’s had a plenty of success since those days. Staff at Bama. Success at FAU and even has multiple 10-win seasons at Ole Miss and is about to take them to the playoff. And he’s not good enough? This fan base is fricking retarded and doesn’t deserve shite

To be fair, he left Tenn after only 1 season to take over for Carroll after he went to the NFL. He had 5 or 6 years as a coordinator at USC in the early 2000s, so it's not difficult to see why he would jump at the opportunity. And the first 2 years at USC, he had to deal with the punishment from the NCAA due to the Reggie Bush crap, so post-season ban, lost scholarships, etc. Not the easiest situation to manage for any coach.
I wouldn't be upset at the hire at all. My main concern is if there is still a "bigger" college job out there, in his opinion, than LSU that he would bounce for if the situation presented itself.

You’re not smart, Dude is an Offensive genius and won a National Championship with Saban. Has brought back Ole Miss, from the dumpster to a perennial contender. He’s the best option out there and we need to get him.
