1 step at a time. Lets see how the roster and the staff shakes out. Depending on how the staff and the roster for next year looks will determine that expectation. This could easily be a little rebuilding year gearing up for the playoff run in 2027. Or if he gets the players he needs he could turn this into an at-large playoff contender next season.

But lets see how everything shapes out before making that assumption or prediction. Too many variables.

I can’t commit to a yes, but I can tell you that we will have a better chance to make it than any year under BK.

Realistically expecting 9 wins but he seems so far ahead of 90 percent of his coaching peers now a days that I can see him pulling off a great offseason and have us making the playoffs next season. This guy has his teams in every single game. Literally have only trailed twice going into the 4th the last two seasons and they won both games. Every other game they’ve been ahead or tied (only a couple of times) headed into the 4th. That is impressive as hell.

I'd think it takes 2 years to build up the roster.

I think we can be a top 25 team. The offense is going to be the biggest question obviously. That O Line was the worst I have ever scene at LSU.

So how did he do with a complete roster?

2-3 losses then the year after we can talk about the playoff

Um, there is currently a whole gaggle of teams with 2-3 losses staking their claim on a playoff spot.

To early for this question. Ask it after spring training. I hope Chambliss and Lacy come join the party after the playoffs.

From 7-5 to the playoffs would be a huge jump. I would take 9-10 wins next year and playoffs in 2027 and beyond.

Dates for the SEC schedule have not been released yet. We only know dates for Clemson and McNeese

We have no idea who's gonna be on the team, but id like to think so. That's basically asking if we'll be one of the top 5 SEC teams. Hes certainly got a lot to fix, but he is a recruiting/portal king

Kiffin is a portal master, but IMO this is an extremely lofty goal considering our Offense has to be completely rebuilt.

Yes, Indiana and Cignetti did it.
Yes, Lane did it with Ole Miss.

But we have to give him time to build.

10-2: if Chambliss is QB. He applied for a waiver to get an additional yr.

Maybe. The roster he had this year at Ole Miss, while playoff caliber, still wasn’t as good as last year’s just on paper and I think their schedule had a large part in them making it. Didn’t play Bama or A&M (they still might have beaten them but we don’t know)

I think he makes the playoff in Year 2 and just barely misses it this year
