Next January he is gonna be telling tecruits.. "Hey I stuck my neck and LSU stuck its neck to help kids trying to get in the NFL and fulfill their dreams. We knew these kids were having a rough time adjusting to the league. They needed additional development and exposure. We wanted to help with that. No one else did. We took hits for it but it was worth it. We want you to have the best football career you can have."

Sure, I’d be jacked to come play for a coach who is willing to bring in random guys at the last minute to take the spot I worked for..

Sure, he'll say that. And they may like hearing it.
But what they will really want to know before deciding to come to LSU for a year or two is, "how big is the bag?"
They're not playing anymore for LSU or for the coach. They're professional athletes playing for pay.
