Faulk finished his LSU career with 4,557 yards rushing in 41 games, which was second best in SEC history behind Herschel Walker of Georgia (5,259 yards in 34 games).[3] Faulk also finished his career with 6,833 career all-purpose yards and 53 total touchdowns, which tied him for fifth in NCAA history and first in SEC history.[3] His SEC record was surpassed on November 21, 2009 by Tim Tebow of Florida.

Emmit Smith and Bo Jackson should be way higher.
Faulk 100% needs to be on that list.
Errict Rhett, really?

Faulk had 4,557 career rushing yards and 46 TDs. He also had 53 catches for 600 yards and 4 TDs. He ALSO had 61 punt returns for 832 yards (13.6 YPR) and 2 TDs.
Emmit Smith didn't have near those numbers.

Garrison Hearst, Trent Richardson, Nick Chubb, Errict Rhett, Najee Harris, and Shaun Alexander not in same category as the others. All very good, but not special to me.

Better stats than Shaun Alexander and Najee Harris.

Hell you can make a case for Charles Alexander being on that list compared to others.

There have been a few in his class since he left, but No. 3 was the standard bearer for all purpose backs in the SEC in his time. He should be listed as a top 10 SEC back of all time.
Faulk had a greater career than Fournette for sure. Fournette had an incredible 2015 season.
I think the reason we don't have more backs on the list is because we have always been a RB by committee program. We have had a slew of great backs that, if they had been the featured back, would have probably made this list. Especially Jeremy Hill and Derrius Guice.
Of course, if Cecil Collins wasn't mentally ill, he would have been in the Top 10 of all time. He had Bo Jackson/Herschel Walker level skills and talent.

as a college player, no he shouldn't

Faulk should be right behind McFadden on that list as far as SEC RB's go, and i think McFadden should be much higher overall.

For 4 years, Faulk was the centerpiece (understatement here) of a run-heavy offense. In the SEC. At like 5'8" 200. He ran for 1000 yds all 4 years.

Faulk is at least in this range...

35. Darren McFadden, Arkansas (2005-07)
33. Derrick Henry, Alabama (2013-15)

Any list of college RBs that does not have Herschel Walker as #1 is simply ridiculous. Man playing against boys ....

TOP 10 in SEC Rushing Yardage
1 Herschel Walker 5259 1980 1982 Georgia
2 Nick Chubb 4769 2014 2017 Georgia
3 Darren McFadden* 4590 2005 2007 Arkansas
4 Kevin Faulk 4557 1995 1998 LSU
5 Bo Jackson 4303 1982 1985 Auburn
6 Ralph Webb* 4178 2014 2017 Vanderbilt
7 Errict Rhett 4163 1989 1993 Florida
8 Dalton Hilliard 4050 1982 1985 LSU
9 Charles Alexander 4035 1975 1978 LSU
10 Anthony Dixon* 3994 2006 2009 Mississippi State
LSU RB's are #4, 8 and 9 overall rushing yardage among SEC players back when it was an 11 game season but there are 8 other RB's ahead of them on that list? Emmitt Smith at #77 is ridiculous. He's a top 5 SEC back.

No love for Dalton Hilliard, either.

Not to mention a kickoff return for a TD against Notre Dame in ‘98.
