Faulk will get there eventually. I will ask this question how many deserve to have their name on the stadium?

They aren't retiring numbers, they are retiring jerseys.

No he didn’t. But Nick Saban did

I think he gets it, just will be a while. He is too young.

Good question, he does for sure though. I would say Hilliard does not, Bert Jones does not. I do not view either one of them as program changing players.

If their NFL careers end up a HOF then Chase and Jefferson will be up there eventually too.
NFL careers should have nothing to do with it.
the guys with names in rafters are honored for what they did at LSU.

watch LSU v Houston 1996. I've never seen anything like it since, one guy takes over (and wins) a football game.
Honey Badger beat Arkansas and UGA.

You’re looking at it wrong. What that says is they did none until 2008, and have been adding to it every few years. I expect Faulk within the next 10 years but would also like to see tittle, Jim Taylor, Dorsey, Bert jones, pp7, mawae, faneca, Matthieu, burrow, jd5 etc eventually in the ring of honor. New addition of Charles Alexander tells me this is probably the plan because he’s the first of that next tier behind the obvious guys like cannon and Casanova.
It’s a cool feature for stadiums that I like to see -what former greats played there when going to away stadiums.

Yep. I kind of feel like we got plenty room around the stadium to add the guys who've been named a unanimous All-American, had multiple All-American seasons, or obviously win the Heisman.
That standard wouldn't water down the honor.
So add guys like Nacho Albergamo, Patrick Peterson, Mo Claiborne, Grant Delpit, Chase, Nabers.

He didn't do it alone. But he certainly lit the spark because LSU's offense was terrible in the first half of each game.
Faulk had a great game against Houston...but it was Houston (a CUSA team at the time because they didn't get asked to join the new Big 12). It was a decent Houston team, but LSU avoided embarrassment by a big 4Q comeback (not just Faulk contributing).
However, Faulk will always be the guy who made it ok for big time LA recruits to go to LSU. Before that, seemingly every big LA recruit went to FSU, Tenn, Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame, etc. Faulk signing with LSU was a HUGE turning point for the program and a massive "win" for Dinardo.

Seeing Faulk and the rest of our athletes up close in that ‘95 Independence Bowl is probably a big part of the reason Saban took the job 4 years later. He saw the potential of the program. Dinardo deserves some credit for the foundation. Saban doesn’t take that job after Hallman’s tenure. Emmert obviously deserves some credit, too.
