No high school kid is worth millions and the fact that LSU stood their ground makes me love my university even more!

Screw these entitled NIL participation trophy babies!

OK, now go spend all the money you can find on a new oline and Nuss and Hurley will do just fine. If our Oline continues without major upgrades, it doesn't matter who the qb or rb or wr is.

And your comment was very dumb. Even 6 million is entirely too much money for a kid that hasn’t proven a damn thing on a college football field.

$6 million for someone who hasn’t played a down of college football is not a low ball, Jesus Christ.

Whether it is lowball or not is relative to the other offers. If the competing offer is 10-12 mil and the company that put in the 6 mil offer won't go up....that by definition makes the 6mil offer a lowball offer.

I am glad we wouldn’t pay this.

We aren't close to low tier. We are 2 years from a west title, we finished 12th last year and have a great chance finishing ranked this year. In no way is that low tier. Tonight really sucks but come on brother.
No we’re not low tier yet but if this continues we will be. We can’t get outbid for these players.

And we always hear this (next year) shite. And that’s fine to be positive. But I have little hope based on everything I’m seeing that we will be able to compete with our current situation. Coaching, money, etc. And you’re crazy if you don’t understand the hesitation a lot are feeling.

If true, Kelly really is a loser thinking that would get him to BR.

Personally, I’ll have a lot more respect for Kelly for holding the line rather than giving this kid a bunch of more money

You know if 1.5 million for a high school kid isn’t enough money then f it

I’m done as a fan

Everybody knows this doesn’t end well so don’t jump on the train. Oh we’ve got to get this guy pay whatever it takes. Yeah none of us are on the Internet are writing the check so you really don’t give a damn do you?

I know the fundamentals are really bad and this is terrible for the kid the family the program coaches the fan base. This is very very bad.

I mean, think of it. The kid comes on campus and has all of this money and fame and expectations before he’s even started a single game.

Do you think he can live up to it?

I guess we’ll find out at Michigan.

Ya think?

Do you have an extra 8 million to help out?

I think this is going to hopefully sound the alarms for those who oversee college football

How long will it be before kids are being paid more than the professionals?

There isn’t enough money from alumni to keep coughing up this kind of money

The well is going to dry up

At least that’s what I think if it doesn’t it doesn’t, But we already had Pro football. I’m not interested in another league.

So now we’ll just never be able to afford championship teams cuz other teams will always be able to pay more. So long college football! I’m out!

I would much prefer it went to academics and building up its fund and force the under reported wokeness being implemented including through hires in key positions and department policy changes to be stopped. The president has used his alleged love of LSU sports to get white alumni to look the other way at what he and his hires are low-key doing to academic side.

Y’all blaming Kelly because the boosters didn’t want to pony up?

This is a wake up call big time, either we play ball or we will get passed up.
