Execution is taught by the English department and not the coaches, during the week.

He needs to call the dean out.

Fire the dean.

Sounds like a familiar adage restating the obvious, the opposing team outscored LSU. . Execution translates from coach speak to the opponent "outplayed us" LSU has the tangibles. Talent is there speed, physical attributes, desire, stellar facilities. What is lacking in my opinion is the coaching them up teaching them to play football. This means equipping them and preparing them to out play the opponent on the field. Also the plays called "scheme" is inferior to the opponent's. BK is not Nick Saban by a long shot. All those years coaching and no Natty!

This is 100% coaching and running a program problem. Either you have accountability and players are prepared or you don’t. It is easy to see that he does not have either the team prepared to play together and well. That is on the guy who wants control and no questions asked.

Not executing is the classic coach trope after a loss and they rarely have to follow up and elaborate

I’ve bee trying to find the words to describe my thoughts on this coach and this absolutely nails it. I still think he has a year left if he fires sloan at the end of the season.

Could be that Nussmeier is not a good QB under pressure in close games. However, I think that Hankton's receivers deserve equal if not more of the blame as does Davis' O line.

Have a clinic and bring in Mawae and Whitworth to show these guys HOW to block....or Faneca if he isn't busy running 10Ks and marathons

He’s already lost the fan base. Guess he might as well throw the players under the bus and lose them too by not taking any blame.

The players are not very good. The coaches recruited/hired the players. Yes, offensive play calling is terrible. Blake Baker is not a bad coach, he has bad players this year.

Not taking up for Kelly bc I want him gone. But I listened to the radio for the first half and Hester was saying they had the right plays called, but were always out of position. Perkins name was mentioned over and over.

It clearly was on player execution. He will (and probably did) say that they, the coaches, need to do a better job coaching them up.

And people here will say he is just talking coach speak. Which of course he is, as I would expect any competent coach to do, until he has a chance to review the film and get more specifics about where they failed.

After that, I expect more coach speak. But some of it will be a little more enlightening, maybe.

Its not lack of execution. Its the trash scheme. Someone posted the passing chart and we only attempted 3 passes to the middle of the field and only 1 pass over 20 yards the entire game.

We throw more 25+ yard passes to pick up 4-6 yards than any team I've ever seen. Its just stupid when you can throw it 10-15 yards over the middle to pick up 10-20+ yards.

And if Nuss is limited on deep balls and thats the reason we dont attempt them then one he shouldn't be playing but two thats still no reason to not use the middle of the field. When we attempt 28 passes and 25 of them are outside the hashes it becomes pretty easy to defend and pretty easy for other teams to gameplan against us.

Oh and 1 of our 3 passes over the middle went for a touchdown. So yeah let's never go back to it.

In Carter’s analysis, he showed a play where three of our defenders went into the same gap. Result, big hole and run by the offense.

I think its AD execution, followed by Head Coach execution and lastly, Assistant Coach execution. None of the aforementioned did their job.

He says that same crap every press conference. Isn’t it his job to make sure the players execute? Also what at the assistants executing? How about stop sending in play changes from the sideline as the clock ticks down. Or stop sending in replacement WRs at the goal line late.

Its not just players and blaming them is disingenuous.

Maybe it was one time luck but the drive he put together against Ole Miss last year to tie it in regulation was one of the best in program history.

He trusted that line to protect him which made a huge difference.
