is it?

Louisiana is a cronyism state, poor and uneducated.

All this big money involved, and NOW we are gonna get it together?

The only advantage we had was proximity, but that was before money was the deciding factor in recruiting.

LSU is a top 5 job in the country

Pure Delusion.
im not torlling. i genuinely believe lsu fans are spoiled and delusional, and im doing my part to reel you all in.

LSU doesnt have a super recruiting advantage anymore.

Success at LSU for football got exponentially more difficult once NIL went hot.
being in my feelings? thats YOU, mad and foaming at the mouth, because i told the truth and you dont like it.

Dont try to tell me about lsu fans... that stadium has empied for YEARS.

It was TAKEN OVER by A&M

BR LSU fans are spoiled and lazy
did you know that Miles and Orgeron never had to coach at LSU during NIL?

did you know they had in-state recruiting advantages when this was still college football?

It's semi-pro now. les and orgeron would get demolished at the helm also in this environment.
false, it was a single year booster funded cash infusion.

You think it'll happen again any time soon?
agree to disagree. i feel like that is a purple kool-aid take. but maybe im too cynical.
LSU is so far beneath Penn St. FLA and Texas in this New NIL Landscape....

I mean like 5 tiers below them.
oh absolutely would he kill it here. But why in the world would he want to come to this dumpster fire, where our advantages are evaporated and the fans are so spoiled they cant see it.
a whole 6 of 10? that was a firable offense from saban-orgeron
the landscape has changed. This is NOT college football anymore. LSU won the last college football title in 2019.

This is Semi-Pro Ball, and LSU sucks at it
he was known for recruiting his type.... big frames with athletic builds from HS, then keeping them in the program for 4-5 years and starting them then.

His lines were older, mature, and already gel'd by practicing together for years in advance.

NIL killed that successful coaching philosophy
youre delusional and spoiled. im just being a realist.

you WANT LSU to be good, so do I. The thing is, your want turns into a blinding obsession.

re-read that
single year, Booster driven, flash in the pan NIL budget.

You think Boosters are gonna give Kelly 20 mil next season?

Theres always a loophole. You can be 'Dudley Doo-Rite' and enjoy these 6-6 shitshows.

I'll call a spade a spade
quote:

You are an idiot. We have one of the highest NIL budgets in CFB.

No. We had one of the highest budgets, only this one season, because of Boosters.

It isnt systemic NIL. It's a flash in the pan.

You think Boosters are gonna give Kelly 20 Mill next year?

Without NIL being built into the states budget, we will get smoked by the real money schools...

Vanderbilt has $$$$$$$$$, they can sustain this. LSU is BROKE
We are delusional.

LSU no longer has a recruiting advantage. It's all mercenaries you have to re-sign annually. LSU is broke

NIL deals are terrible here. LSU is so stupid they thought NIL success was Angel Reese and Olivia Dunne. Real NIL succeass is having the state directly fund you so you have a big budget to pay players every year, no worries. Woodward was too stupid to do this.

Resources? really? LSU has no resources

Only chance we have is to get super lucky hiring someone. It's much more likely that we are entering a cycle of 'hire>fire' that will pull us back down to the dark ages.

suit him up in jersey #7 and pretend like its some new transfer or something...

"Hey, why can't we ever find that new coach LSU got?"

"Dunno, but that #7 is kicking arse!"

Why would Kiffen want to come to LSU

Posted by JunkInUrTrunk on 10/26/25 at 12:21 pm
There is no more in state recruiting pipeline, it's a bidding war.

People in Oxford are excited and Hungry.

People in BR are Spoiled and Lazy

Ain't happening
lots of ligamint injuries too the last few years.. a LOT

Whos the golden goose?

The Football Program.

Yes, I am implying that he destroyed that too

LSU was a powerhouse when Saban/Les/Orgeron would stack classes landing 9-10/10 of LA top talent, then keep them on campus a few years

signing those guys is worthless... you have to hold on for them for a few years while they develop. we can't afford that.

yes, it is. You buy your rosters year to year as it stands.

There is no more in-state pipeline, you have to bid for these players on the open market. you cannot land the lions share of the top local players anymore because LSU cannot afford to drop this kind of money annually on NIL for players

Tennessee used to enjoy great recruiting when they were one of the only shows on TV, late 90s. Then everyone was on TV, and they had no in-state pipeline. They cycled through a lot of coaches before getting lucky with Heupel.

LSU is about to go through that same hire>rapid fire process because frankly, we are spoiled.

It's all about budget now gramps
