What’s the point of risking injury when you are a senior and have very little to play for?

He’s not a top 3 rd player right now even with the small sample size of players producing film in the participating conferences. At least if he plays he has a great chance to improve his stock and make more money. Honestly, he was poised to have a breakthrough season being one of two seasoned vets in the back 7. He could have had another season of film displaying his improvement and showcasing his natural abilities. Now LSU is left with a starting scholarship player quitting after presumably working as the number 1 throughout the nonphysical portion of training camp.

There must be something more to the story for him to forego the season.

make up your mind. Is he opting out to not risk injury, or because he thinks the season will be cancelled? (which seems like a stupid reason to opt out)

I spelled it out pretty clearly. Right now, the CFB season is more at risk than any since WW2.

If he believes they won’t play a whole season and the SEC Championship or playoffs aren’t going to happen, why would he risk injury?

That possibility is still very real. I’ve said it before, if anyone is going to play it’s the SEC. but that doesn’t make them completely immune to the NCAA falling apart around them.

We don't know his family situation. Just thank him for his contributions to the 2019 team and wish him well. I have my own opinion about this but they are based on assumptions that may or may not be true.

really all that needs to be said but some just can't help themselves.

He contributed alot during his time at LSU and helped to deliver a title.

Not sure what else I'm gonna ask of him as a fan.

Best of luck to him if it's his end as a Tiger. I'd assume, unless he hires an agent, if his draft rating isn't what he likes he can opt back in next year. They're gonna have no choice but to extend eligibility of kids that opt out this year. No matter the language of his statement.

I honestly don't see him getting drafted

Really? SI has him listed as the 6th best DB in the 2021 draft. Worst case, he’s 3rd round. I think he had the potential to play himself into a late 1 or early 2. Best of luck to him.

He already sold his rings from this season. Dude needs to cut bait with the people he's associated with.

I was looking forward to seeing him this year. He made some outstanding plays in the back half of the season and was one of the most improved players on the team from the first part of the season to the back half. He has blazing speed, so with a good or great season, he could have flew up the draft boards. But good luck to him.

I've been a big fan of his since the day he took over the mic at that camp. We are going to miss him, and I don't understand the decision, but wish him the best!

I have to wonder a little was Vincent worried about being pushed out of the rotation his senior year by Flott and Ricks.
