I just can't get on the train of throwing our rbs away at the prospect of getting lacy. I try not to be guilty of this myself from time to time but fans always cry about loyalty from players and were bitchin about committed guys not signing immediately but ready to throw guys like caden away in hopes lacy comes here. I been seeing the lacy talk for a few days and fans ready to do like Andy did woody when he got buzz light year.

I think Kaleb Jackson is a great RB who's been in a terrible scheme.
If he were playing in a Les Miles, Nick Saban, or Jim Harbaugh offense, then he would be a first round draft pick.
Dude is a hell of a lot better than people think. I hope he leaves and finds a program that knows how to use him.

He gone. The future is Harlem Berry and hopefully Lacy if he transfers here
If Frank moves on, there is a possibility that Berry leaves with him. Berry’s parents have already alluded to this recently, so it may take a lot of money and persuading to keep him here since it looks like Frank won’t be staying. It would be in his best interest, but the people around kids often don’t have their true best interest in mind.

It’s extremely hard for a power back to put anything together when the line creates zero holes.
Berry and Durham should both be named ALL SEC for gaining positive yards this season with that line.
Yeah, this goes back to 2024 too with Durham, and it's a reason people need to give him some credit.
Hell, go back and watch the Clemson game this year. His first carry, he was almost tackled as soon as he took the handoff. Instead he was able to dodge that, cut and ran for something like 15-20 yds. Our backs haven't had lanes to run in going back to O's last teams.

quote:"Embarrassed" is not a strong enough word. More like "Wretched Excess Shite Show!" (And Woodward prevented BK from firing him after last season!)
Scheme is everything and Brad Davis should be embarrassed for what he turned our line into these past 4-5 years.

Alright. Our OL has been terrible for years, but frick you and that offense.
Leonard Fournette is still trying to run through a concrete wall of crimson & Jordan Jefferson is in the middle of a football field somewhere punching the 50yd line like it boned his wife.
LSU rediscovering the forward pass was a good thing. Hiring Brad Davis was the mistake.

We needed a tough running back but he couldn't seem to develop a feel for the position. LK loves power/gap scheme runs which are more suited for a back like Kaleb to eliminate the amount of reading he has to to do at the line but Berry and Durham do have better vision. But a big back has been needed at times the last few seasons.

that was a fantastic accomplishment by Miles during his time here. He built an offense that everyone knew exactly what was coming; hell the QB could probably walk over and point to exactly where the RB would go before the snap. And it took the absolute best team in football to stop it.
We ran that offense against a top 5 team in Oregon and fricking mauled them. At one point we decided to go no-huddle just to run that single offtackle toss dive at them repeatedly with less time for them to shake off the hits, and they called timeout after 3 plays. It was glorious
quote:Also just gonna say, JJ was like his 4th choice. Team was built for Perilloux who got caught breaking federal laws, Lee wouldn't stop throwing Pick 6's, and Hatch got broke in half vs SEC defenses.

So if Berry threatens to transfer if Frank isn't there, send him on his way.

and that's the problem. How many Natty's could he have under his belt if he had the ability to gameplan an offense to attack a defense's weaknesses. His teams were tough as nails, but there was some coaching malpractice having his teams run dives and slow developing toss plays into an 8 man front.

Another Wilson wash out. They come here, show promise and then disappear.

Lee was actually having an all-time year the season of the disaster natty. He wasn’t called on to throw consistently but had an efficiency rating that was out of this world when he did.
I will say — it was fun when it worked. It was the fact that we had no answer if a team with equal talent stacked the box & forced us to be multidimensional that was the killer. The result was an entire decade of being second-best, the worst part being that it vaulted an already historically successful program in Bama to an untouchable tier.

If he’d just give Kiffin and Weiss Jr a chance he could potentially become a heisman caliber RB.
From 7 carries in a season to “a Heisman caliber running back”?

He would probably be a good fit in this offense if he stays another year. We just may be past the point where he will believe that now.

If you had to name a comp for him from an LSU running back in the past do any fit the bill off the top of your head?

Berry might be the only one sticking around. Why would Lacy come here?
